The only thing He told me for sure was that I was chosen not for my strengths but for my weaknesses. I have been humbled and awed by God s presents and presence along this journey. It was not coincidence that the scripture verse used for weekend #121 where I was observing rector was Ephesians 2:10 which talks about that which God prepares in advance. God has used this verse over the past 10 months to show me that He does indeed go ahead of me to prepare the way in all things and that my greatest contributions as rector would be made by trusting Him and allowing Him to lead because He is ALWAYS faithful, ALWAYS on time and HIS plan is ALWAYS complete and FAR superior to anything I could ever try to work out. Anyone associated with NCPP knows that the verses chosen for each weekend do not stop speaking to us when the weekend comes to a close. God s Word goes out with ripple effects that do not wane but intensify. Knowing this I am equally excited to see how God will use the verse for weekend #126 to further His kingdom and grow His people. Over the years God has revealed himself to me in many ways, among them are as my comforter, my healer, my shepherd and my friend. But in recent years He has also become so much more in my life and my response to Him and His goodness has truly changed. So, when I read Exodus 15:2, The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise Him..I will exalt His name forever, I knew it was a fit for who He is in MY life now and who HE desires to be in the lives of ALL HIS people. The team God has assembled for His weekend in April of 2014 is another beautiful array of His faithful ones. All of us have a common purpose- to grow in the knowledge of the Lord and to bring others with us on the journey. Together we are the body of Christ. My hope is that we will live the scripture for weekend #126..Exodus 15:2, The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God and I will praise Him..I will exalt His name forever. I am excited and thankful for the opportunity to serve God as rector and pray that he will use each guest, team member and friend of pilgrimage to go down from this mountain top experience into a broken world and, being unashamed of the gospel, bring to it the hope we have in Jesus Christ- our strength, our song and our salvation. Online directory of the entire NC 4 th day including addresses and phone numbers Upcoming weekend dates, locations, and Rectors Newsletters from most weekends Logos from most weekends Current guest and sponsor applications A link to the prayer banner website A NCPP brochure for potential guests And much more.. Please use this newsletter as your trigger to verify that YOUR contact information is still current in the online directory! Why? So your brothers, sisters, and future Rectors can contact you! Also, make sure your reunion sisters and brothers received their newsletter, if not ask them to update their e-mail address! A Note From the Registrars: Brothers and Sisters, Pilgrimage will not survive without guests. For the movement to thrive, we need each of you to prayerfully and thoughtfully consider guests to sponsor for each and every weekend. Everyone has questions about what s involved with a weekend but please tell your potential guests that the reason you do not want to share everything with him/her is so the special surprises will actually be a surprise! Please to tell them there will be talks by both lay leaders and clergy, small and large group activities, as well as worship, singing, and sharing. If after prayer your guest agrees to attend the weekend, a complete guest application should be mailed to the Registrar in the appropriate NCPP conference. The MOST CURRENT Registrar is listed on the sponsor application to be found on the ncpilgrimage.org website. In fact, the website should be your first choice as a source for the most current forms and sponsor instructions as well. A guest is NOT considered to be registered without 1) a completed guest application, 2) a completed sponsor application, and 3) partial payment or indication of financial aid. While it is great to get the medical form with the application also, the medical form can be completed and turned in anytime before the weekend begins. The movement does not intend for the fees to keep anyone from attending a weekend; therefore, financial aid is available. However, since we all should be good stewards of the movement s funds, please do not freely offer financial aid unless there truly is a need. Please ask your guest if they are able to pay at least a portion of their fees and discuss the situation with the Registrar if financial aid is required. If everyone is a good steward, the movement will not only survive but also thrive! While it s a little late to sponsor a guest for Weekend #126, please be praying about guests for future weekends. The future weekends and dates are listed on the ncpilgrimage.org website along with other information you might need! God loves sponsors and so do we!
