1. What is the one who sat on the throne holding in His right hand? God is on the throne He is holding a scroll a roll of Papyrus Written on both sides Seal with 7 seals Papyrus was made from the pith of a bulrush that grew in the delta of the Nile Papyrus was expensive
3. What is the question concerning this scroll? Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll? In Rome a will was sealed by 7 witnesses with their seals applied and it could not be opened without all 7 being present Seals were also placed on very important documents for secrecy
4. What is the problem with the scroll why did John weep? Answer to question of who is worthy vs 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. No one is worthy
5. What does Romans 3. 23 add to why John wept? There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinnedand fall short of the glory of God
6. Who is the only one worthy enuf to open the scroll? Vs 5 Then one of the elders said to me, Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals. Jesus is worthy because Of His victory over death at Calvary Of His complete obedience to The Father He knows The Father s secrets He is able to reveal those secrets It is His privilege to preside over the opening of the seal and be in control of the things that will come
7. What are the 2 Jewish titles used for this man in verse 5? Lion of Judah Genesis 49. 9 You are a lion scub,judah; you return from the prey,my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness who dares to rouse him? The Root of David Isaiah 11. 1 & 10 A shootwill come up from the stumpof Jesse; from his roots a Branchwill bear fruit. 10 In that daythe Root of Jessewill stand as a bannerfor the peoples; the nationswill rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.

He made us kings opened God s storehouse of royalty He made us priests OT only priests could go before God He gave us the victory

Who joins in the singing and praising in verses 11-12? 11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.they encircled the throne and the living creaturesand the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying: Worthy is the Lamb,who was slain, to receive powerand wealthand wisdomand strengthand honorand gloryand praise!
