LINCOLN MAPPED OUT IN THE LANGLEY CHAPEL EPIPHANY WINDOW It seems that there are several maps hidden in the Langley Chapel Epiphany window which relate to Lincoln and its environs. Rotating the top right hand side of the window clockwise by 90 degrees gives us a map showing the exact location of the Dan Green s Marker tomb. If the bottom left portion of the window is rotated anti-clockwise by 45 degrees it appears to be showing the waterways of Lincoln. The bottom right hand side of the window shows us the route by which a treasure was was brought from Temple Bruer to the Lincoln Cathedral Mount, and even gives us a possible date. If the bottom portion of the window is rotated clockwise by 90 degrees the angle of the sword is the exact angle of the Fosse Way running between Warwickshire and Lincolnshire. In his book The Templars and the Ark of the Covenant Graham Phillips tells us that this window was designed in 1907 by a Victorian antiquarian known as Jacob Cove Jones. Its purpose was to encode clues to the location of treasures that Templars of Temple Heredwyke in Warwickshire had brought back from the Holy Land in 1198 and were apparently forced to hide in 1350 due to the encroaching Black Death. Jacob had decoded murals in the Templar Church at Burton Dassett, located several artefacts and re-hidden them in different locations around Warwickshire. Graham managed to find some of these artefacts during the 1990s. However, he did not manage to find out the precise nature of the Discovery of Immense Importance, that Jacob s descendants were convinced he had made. Two decades later, this enigmatic little window revealed another Warwickshire clue to John Guest, which later turned out to also be a clue to the Lincolnshire connection through the aptly named church of The Blessed Virgin Mary. The mantle was taken up by Dan Green who cleverly linked it with his own findings regarding the Murder of Mary Magdalene, described in his book Activation Point Earth. Recently John Guest pointed us even further in the direction of Lincoln in A Biblical Solution to a Glass Code. It seems that Jacob s spirit is now willing to give up further clues that appear to be substantiating the Lincoln connection beyond reasonable doubt. So could it be that Jacob s discovery of immense importance was no less than the murder of Mary Magdalene and the fact that her relics had been secretly taken from Warwickshire to Temple Bruer in 1350 and later removed to their current resting place beneath the Cathedral Mount in Lincoln?

A MAP TO THE MARKER TOMB John Guest s brilliant observation in A Biblical Solution to a Glass Code that the crowned G tile in the Langley Epiphany Window contains a stairway and could represent Greestone Stairs that lead up to Dan Green s Marker Tomb, led to the realisation that if the top right section of the Epiphany window is rotated 90 degrees clockwise it becomes a map showing us the exact location of the Marker Tomb. The crowned G is now in the South and to the SW of that is a tile containing the Lamb of God Insignia of the Knights Templar. These two tiles are in the same relative position as Temple Gardens and Greestone Stairs in Lincoln. At the top of Greestone Place, which incorporates Greestone Stairs, we emerge onto Minster Green, represented here by the tiles of green glass. Directly ahead of us is the SE corner of the Cathedral and the Judgement Porch. The tile showing a castle is now on its side with the entrance archway to the west. From where we are now standing the main west entrance to Lincoln Cathedral is to out left (west), exactly as the tile shows.

If we immediately make a 90 degree turn to the right when we emerge onto Minster Green, we ascend a few small steps onto St. Margaret s burial ground where we find Dan Green s Marker Tomb. These are represented by both the haloed swan (Divine Feminine) and the crowned M (Mary the Queen buried under the crown of the hill) tiles. To the NNE of St. Margaret s burial ground we find the Morning Star Pubic House, once known as the Freemasons pub due to its proximity to the former Freemasons Church of St. Peter-in-Eastgate. To get there we walk along Priory Gate and turn right into Eastgate passing St. Peter-in-Eastgate. In so doing we walk beneath the castellated Roman arch known as Priory Gate, that appears in this instance to be yet another interpretation for the tile that looks like a castle. The 90 degree turn from the haloed swan tile to the crowned M tile also has another possible meaning in addition to the turn from Greestone Place into St. Margaret s. As John Guest also ingeniously deduced, the swan with the halo, or Gloriole, represents the Glory Hole in Lincoln, also known as High Bridge, under which Brayford Pool s resident swans frequently glide. Here the River Witham turns from flowing S-N into Brayford Pool to flow W-E along the bottom of the steep hill on which Lincoln Cathedral stands. In this Epiphany window map the tiles similarly turn 90 degrees to the right indicating a change of flow from a northerly one to an easterly one.

A MAP OF LINCOLN S WATERWAYS If we rotate the bottom left portion of the Epiphany window around 45 degrees anti-clockwise we notice that the shape of the blue glass bears more than a passing resemblance to the waterways in Lincoln City Centre. The lady s blue cloak can be seen as Brayford Pool and the blue sword as the River Witham flowing out of it in an easterly direction. The hilt of the sword where it meets the blade would be the position of the Glory Hole. We can then see the blue of the cloak that drops away to the bottom left of the window as the River Witham flowing north into Brayford Pool. Similarly the blue cloak covering the lady s right arm could represent the Fossdyke that flows west from Brayford Pool to join the River Trent.

THE GLORIOUS JOURNEY FROM BRUER Working with John Guest s clever deductions that the blue lamp represents the Dunstan Pillar on the Lincolnshire heath near Temple Bruer, the crowned G tile contains a spiral staircase, the design on the ermine of the red King s cloak represents Crown Mill and the bridge tile below the blue King represents both the Glory Hole and Bargate Weir, we can find a map of the route that the precious cargo took from Temple Bruer to Lincoln hidden in left hand side of the Epiphany Window. Starting at the top we have the G tile containing the spiral staircase next to the blue lamp of Dunstan Pillar. The Dunstan Pillar was a 92 foot tall land lighthouse, erected in the 1700s to light up the bleak heathland that lay between Temple Bruer and Lincoln. It originally had a spiral staircase inside. Below the G we find a tile containing the Templar insignia of the Lamb of God next to the letter B. Taken together these represent Temple Bruer. The ermine cape of the red King contains a curved feature that Graham Phillips interpreted as a water wheel. This could equally be interpreted as as a Katherine Wheel, the emblem of one of the Templars patron Saints, St. Katherine. The crown around the tree reminds us of Queen Eleanor who was taken ill in Sherwood Forest, dying before she could reach Lincoln. Her body was taken to St. Katherine s Priory to be embalmed. Right next to this tile we have the face and neck of the blue King at the bottom of which the black lead comes together in a Y shape reminiscent of two roads meeting and becoming one. St. Katherine s Priory was situated just outside Lincoln s City walls at the junction of the two Roman roads, the Fosse Way and Ermine Street.

Only half of the clasp of the blue King s cloak is visible and it looks like an arrow pointing us to the panes of blue glass which represent water. This tells us to move from road to water at this juncture. The long blue pane represents the River Witham and the smaller square pane below, Brayford Pool. The pane below the blue ones is the Glory Hole. The blue glass ceases here indicating that we leave the river. In the middle of the window, on the same level as where the blue pane representing Brayford Pool meets the tile representing the Glory Hole, we find the golden casket held by the kneeling King. As Graham pointed out, this casket resembles a Church. On it is written BENEDICT and only 50 metres south of the Glory Hole we find St. Benedict s Church, dating from the 13th Century. Under the Glory Hole tile we find a tile representing the Cathedral, below which we find a crown encrusted with red jewels, indicating that here can be found the tomb of a red Queen, Mary Magdalene.

So let us turn this section of the window upside down to obtain our map. Starting 10 miles to the south of Lincoln (as the crow flies) at Temple Bruer (the remaining tower of which also contains a spiral staircase), the treasure would have been transported initially by road, joining Ermine Street (now the A15) and passing what was Dunstan Pillar in Jacob Cove-Jones time, close to the junction with the current B1178. Given the nature of this sacred cargo, the places chosen for it to rest en route would have had to have been on consecrated ground. The first would likely have been after an eleven mile journey to St. Katherine s Priory from whence it would have been transferred onto a boat or barge at what is now Bargate Weir to continue its glorious journey into the City along the River Witham. This would have avoided having to enter the lower City in full view of the inhabitants of the suburb of Wigford. Travelling northwards along the Witham the treasure would have passed by what was Crown Mill in Jacob Cove-Jones day. It would then have passed through Brayford Pool and been unloaded at the Glory Hole from where the window clues show us it would have initially have been taken to the nearby St. Benedict s Church until such time as it could be safely transferred to its final resting place close under the Cathedral Mount.

So is there any clue to when this journey took place? Well, yes, there is. Jacob cleverly draws our attention in several different ways to King Richard II who reigned from 1377 to 1399. The jar being held aloft by the red king contains the heraldic device of Edmund of Langley, first Duke of York and uncle to King Richard II. Langley betrayed Richard when he was deposed in 1399. Edmund of Langley was born and died at the Royal palace of Kings Langley in Hertfordshire. Since this window contains images of Kings and is located at a place called Langley, our attention is clearly being drawn to Kings Langley. There are also two white roses, emblems of the house of York, in the window. In 1386/7 King Richard II presented the City of Lincoln with its most treasured possession, a sword encased in a beautiful red and gold scabbard emblazoned with Richard s emblems of the White Hart and the Rising Sun. Ever since, this sword has been carried aloft at the front of all the City s official processions ahead of the ceremonial mace. Apparently if a reigning monarch visits Lincoln they must always touch this sword before leaving, and at the bottom left hand corner of the Epiphany Window we see a crown touching a sword.

On the ermine cape of the red king who is holding the jar aloft we find what could well be a rising sun coming from behind a tree with a crown around its trunk. Richard II s emblems were the Rising Sun and a White Hart with a crown around its neck (trunk). Even the leaves of the tree appear to be heart (hart) shaped. On the Bridge tile we find what appears to be a leaping deer, or perhaps a White Hart, leaping over the Glory Hole in the direction of the nearby Guildhall where the sword is kept. As if this were not enough clues pointing to Richard II, we learn that Richard himself was actually born on 6 th January (Epiphany) and baptised in the presence of three Kings. So it would seem that we are being shown that the year 1386/7, when Richard II presented the sword to the City of Lincoln, was the year is which the sacred relics were removed to Temple Bruer and transferred to their final resting place beneath Lincoln s Cathedral Mount. It would also seem that we are being told that the journey took place under cover of darkness. At the very top of the window are the words Arise, Shine Light on me. Below this is the cock which traditionally crowed at Midnight to reveal the location of the Christ child to the three Kings. Next to the cock is a bright star and further down is a brightly shining lamp. All this suggests we have to wait for the stars to rise and travel by lamplight around the hour of midnight.

ALONG THE FORCE WAY If we turn the bottom part of the window 90 degrees clockwise we cannot fail to notice that the angle of the blue sword is the exact angle of the alignment between Temple Herdewyke and Temple Bruer which is along the Roman Fosse Way. Could Mary be pointing us back from whence she came? Graham Phillips tells us that in 1350 the remaining Heredwyke Templars were wiped out by the Black Death, but managed to hide their treasure and leave clues in the Burton Dassett Church murals that Jacob Cove Jones eventually decoded. However, it is just possible that these Templars actually managed to flee with the most sacred item in their treasure trove, the relics of the Magdalene, and brought it to their brethren in Lincolnshire for safe keeping. Some of the Lincolnshire Templars may have survived the purge of 1322 by becoming outlaws in the forests of Barnsdale and Sherwood giving rise to the legend of Robin Hood and his Merry Men (Mary s men). The relics may have been taken by these outlawed Templars to Temple Bruer where they would have remained for a number of years until it was safe to remove them to Lincoln and thence through a network of tunnels to a newly created secret crypt under the Cathedral Mount.

THE TEMPLARS PRESENT THE GOLDEN CASKET TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY Taking the Epiphany window as a whole, we can see what appears to be St. George, patron Saint of the Templars, presenting a golden casket to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Or is it the Templars presenting a golden casket containing the relics of the Divine Feminine to the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lincoln? Behind the kneeling King comes the King who is presenting the Grail jar. This King is dressed in the Templars traditional red and white. The B s on his cloak associate him with Temple Bruer. The crowned oak tree on his ermine cape and the green sleeves of the tunic he wears under the cloak shows he is also associated with Sherwood Forest where the Merry Men were said to dress in Lincoln Green. The crown on his head shows he a leader - this is none other than the Grand Master of the outlawed Templars, referred to by those in the know as Robin Hood.

THE DISCOVERY OF IMMENSE IMPORTANCE So what clues did Jacob leave us pointing to the nature of his discovery of immense importance being the Murder of Mary Magdalene and the relocation of her relics? Firstly, as Dan Green points out in Activation Point Earth, the child in the window is of distinctly female appearance and the red lamp directly above the mother s head as well as the two crowned M tiles suggests this is the Magdalene. However, if we look closely at the child we can see that the left hand appears to be clasping what could be the hilt of a dagger penetrating the abdomen. The mother s hand also appears to be supporting the left side of the child s abdomen. Whereas the mother s face appears full of compassion the child s appears sad and pained as if imploring why?. Secondly, we have already noted several clues pointing us to King Richard II. Act 3, Scene 3 of the Spear Shakers play Richard II is set in the gardens of the royal palace at Kings Langley. Here the Queen overhears gardeners saying that King Richard has been deposed and weeps for him. When Richard II was deposed in 1399 the Queen was his second wife, Isabella of Valois, who he had married three years previously when she was aged only 6. Given her tender age the marriage is highly unlikely to have been consummated, so the Queen s status at the time would have been that of a true Virgin Queen. Thirdly, Jacob left three biblical passages to be decoded alongside his window. One of these passages has the words God and her almost next to each other when the verses are read as one. This could be trying to tell us that Jacob I indeed knew the closely guarded secret that Christ was actually female. Revelation 21:11-13 Having the glory of God: and her light was unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels. On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.

Fourthly, comes one of the most convincing clues yet. The eagle-eyed John Guest noticed that in the tile that represents the Glory Hole, there appears to be a boater below the bridge looking up to the left. Further investigation showed that there is a carving of King Edward VII on the top left corner of the roof of the Tudor style building that now stands on High Bridge right above the Glory Hole - exactly where the boater appears to be looking. The building underwent extensive renovations that were completed in 1902. As well as being only five years before the Epiphany window was installed in Langley Chapel, 1902 was the year of King Edward VII s coronation and also the year in which he visited Lincoln and touched the Richard II sword. Inside the building is a winding staircase leading up to the first floor located right below the Edward VIII carving. So it appears that the crowned G tile containing the staircase was also intended to represent the Glory Hole. Edward VII s full name was Albert Edward and he was known in the Royal family as Bertie. Given that the red king in the Epiphany window is wearing coronation robes of red trimmed with Ermine and has several crowned B s on his cloak, it seems that Jacob was trying to draw our attention to the coronation of the reigning monarch at the time his window was installed - King Bertie. The coronation was a rather odd affair. It was postponed at the last minute due to the King s health and ended up taking place some weeks later without the usual foreign dignitaries. The King was crowned by Archbishop Temple who managed to place the crown on back to front.

However, what Jacob seems to have been drawing our attention to is the fact that Edward VII s Queen, Alexandra, was crowned with a crown containing the Koh-I-Noor diamond. A carving of her is on the right hand corner of the Glory Hole Building. The Koh-I-Noor is a priceless diamond dating back to at least Templar times, procured from India under rather dubious circumstances and given to Queen Victoria. The stone holds a curse against any potential male owners: "He who owns this diamond will own the world, but will also know all its misfortunes. Only God, or a woman, can wear it with impunity." Going back to the bible passage, if any stone deserves to be described as a stone most precious and clear as crystal, it was the Koh-I-Noor. Furthermore, as John Guest pointed out in A Biblical Solution to a Glass Code Lincoln is was a walled city with many gates just as the passage is describing. So in order to pass on his discovery of immense importance to those of future generations with eyes to see, Jacob has given us a lady sitting below a red lamp with two crowned M s behind her. On her lap is a female child that appears to be holding the hilt of a dagger. We also have numerous references to a King who took a White Hart, the symbol of purity, as his emblem and a pure female child as his Queen. In addition Jacob has drawn our attention to both a bible passage and a curse which, by the association of words, are speaking of God in feminine terms. It would therefore seem that Jacob was aware of this secret and attempted to provide subtle clues to it. Not only did Jacob appear to be aware of this secret, but he also seemed to know where the sacred treasure was taken to, by whom and when. He has encoded numerous ingenious clues to Lincoln in his enigmatic little window as well as maps showing us the various routes taken and how to reach the final location.

Jacob then very cleverly attempted to conceal the nature of his discovery of immense importance and provide a decoy by hiding some of the Templar treasure he found in Warwickshire and leaving clues to aid its discovery. This made it seem as if the discovery of immense importance was that the Ark of the Covenant had been buried in Warwickshire rather than the most sacred relics of the female Christ had been buried in Lincoln. Indeed, if Dan Green had not uncovered the secret of the female Christ through his Lincoln Cathedral Code and synchronicity had not brought Graham Phillips discoveries to his attention, no-one would have ever thought to look for clues leading to Lincoln in a small window in a little chapel tucked away in the remote Warwickshire countryside.
