We lift our voices in praise of God s creation. God give us the fruits of creation to share with everyone. May we see the day when no one will be in want. *HYMN: We Worship You, God NCH #26 (V. 1, 3 & 5) PRAYER OF INVOCATION Companion in life and death, O God, your love is steadfast and never ending; our weeping may linger with the night, but you will give us joy in the morning. Touch us with your healing grace that, restoring us to wholeness, we may live out our calling as your resurrected people. This we ask, through Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray *THE LORD'S PRAYER (trespasses) Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen. *GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen SCRIPTURE READING: 2 Corinthians 8:7-15
ANTHEM: O God, Our Help In Ages Past Words by Isaac Watts, 1719 Music by Alan Hovhaness (1911-2000) O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home. Before the hills in order stood or earth received her frame, from everlasting Thou art God, to endless years the same. A thousand ages in Thy sight are like an evening gone, short as the watch that ends the night, before the rising sun. Time, like an ever rolling stream, bears all its sons away; They fly forgotten, as a dream dies at the op ning day. O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, be Thou our guard while troubles last, and our eternal home. Amen. MORNING PRAYER CONGREGATION S JOYS AND CONCERNS In Christ, O God, your healing power restores health to a weary world. Through your Word, Christ bid us rise up and live. Casting our fears on you we ask to receive faith anew. Make us, we pray, live each day in the joy for which you are fashioning us. This we ask in our prayers, both spoken and unspoken. Amen. SILENT PRAYER-PASTORAL PRAYER-CHORAL RESPONSE SCRIPTURE READING: Mark 5:21-34 *HYMN: There is a Balm in Gilead NCH #553 SERMON: The Divine Cure MOMENT OF MEDITATION
