Obedience Relationship Prayer Gal 5:22-23 Knowing Him through His Word Serving others Trust with Abandon Unity NOT Uniformity Thoughts and Actions Love Worship and Praise i. Gratitude/Thankfulness j. Obsession k. Offer Forgiveness to others Why must we forgive? 1. Because of the very nature of what forgiveness means (Gk) - to let go from one s power, possession, to let go free, let escape.
*Unforgiveness binds us to what we hate most. 2. God s Word calls us to forgive (Luke 6:37, Matt 6:14-15) 3. For our own sake (Matt 18:21-35) 4. So that we do not provide Satan with an opportunity to take advantage (II Cor 2:10-11) Because we are not the only ones bound by the rope of unforgiveness we tie God s hands from working all things together for good.
