ASSEMBLE IN GOD S NAME ANNOUNCEMENTS Henry Meeuwse PRELUDE Love Divine, All Loves Excelling John Barr INTROIT CALL TO WORSHIP What is faith? Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. By faith Moses chose rather to share ill treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. By faith he left Egypt, unafraid of the king s anger; for he persevered as though he saw him who is invisible. By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as if it were dry land. By faith the walls of Jericho fell after they had been encircled for seven days. Through faith God s people conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and obtained promises. And what of ourselves? Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. *HYMN 65 Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah CWM RHONDDA CONFESSION God of our fathers and mothers, grant us humble and courageous hearts that will bear witness to Jesus Christ in the coming generations. We confess that our hearts are consumed by pride one moment and fear the next. Puffed up with pride, we imagine that we can walk through life on our own. We do not follow you or rely on the wisdom of those who have walked this road before. When we do realize our own failures and limitations, we are consumed by fear and doubt. Once again, we do not look to You as the One who walks before us and will lead us through life s valleys. Dispel our fear and pride, O God, and grant us humble and courageous hearts to follow You faithfully. ASSURANCE OF PARDON Colossians 2:13-14 *GLORIA HEAR GOD S WORD OLD TESTAMENT (OT p.559) Psalm 107:1-7, 33-37 ANTHEM The Battle of Jericho arr. Moses Hogan CHILDREN S TIME RoxAnn Stalvey OLD TESTAMENT (OT p. 196) Psalm 107:1-7, 33-37, Joshua 3:7-17 SERMON IS SEEING BELIEVING? Reverend Cameron Smith NOVEMBER MEMORY VERSE: Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

BY BODY AND BLOOD OFFERTORY Shall We Gather At the River arr. Lee Evans INVITATION PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING The Lord be with you, And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise. Blessed are You, O God, and blessed is Jesus Christ, Your only Son, whom You sent out of love for the world to be our Savior. By the Holy Spirit s power, He was born of us, shared our joys and sorrows, and offered His life in perfect obedience and trust. By His death, Christ delivered us from our sins. By His resurrection, He grants us new and abundant life. By His love, He sanctifies the church to be His holy bride and now, prepares the wedding banquet. Dying, You destroyed death. Rising, You restored life. Lord Jesus, come in glory. When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim Your death. Lord Jesus, come in glory. Together we pray Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. *HYMN 525 Let Us Break Bread Together LET US BREAK BREAD (VS. 1) WORDS OF INSTITUTION PRAYER Unison Father, we thank You for this meal, shared in spirit with Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, who makes us new and strong, and brings us eternal life. Amen. RECOGNITION OF SAINTS GO IN GOD S NAME *HYMN 525 Let Us Break Bread Together LET US BREAK BREAD (VS. 2-3) *BENEDICTION *RESPONSE *PASSING THE PEACE The Lord is with you. And also with you. *POSTLUDE March Robin Dinda FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE There are two restrooms located in the sanctuary narthex (lobby). Please use these restrooms during worship services. Ushers can help direct you. Thank you.
