January, 2009 Sedona Region Antique Automobile Club of America T ire T ra c k s THE VOICE OF THE SEDONA CAR CLUB PUTTING DEAD TREES TO GOOD USE In 1953 I saw my first Corvette at a GM Motor Rama. I vowed I would own one! My dream came true. We have one left of the seven we ve owned. In 1971 we bought our first Vette, a burnt orange convertible. We sold it several years ago. Boy, what a good investment. The most unique Vette we ve had was one given by GM to Alan Shepard, one of the first astronauts. We dragged raced auto crossed, and traveled across the U.S. in our Vettes. We have really enjoyed all of them. In the San Francisco Bay Area, we were members of Northern California Corvette Association the oldest incorporated Corvette Club in the United States and probably the world. This Club reinforced our love of Vettes. Now to the present I understand how busy we all are. I thought upon retirement I would have plenty of time. I was sure wrong. Even though we ration our time, please put I thought upon retirement I would have plenty of time. I was sure wrong. SCC s meetings on your must do list along with as many tours as you can.
