C h u r c h L i f e U p d a t e s Dresses for Uganda: Women in Mission have been working diligently to sew pillowcase dresses for children in Uganda. They have completed and boxed 55 dresses with a goal of 100. The group meets again on July 5 and 19 at 9:00 AM and they welcome any help and/or donation of supplies (especially bias binding). JOY Luncheon: Our next JOY luncheon is Wednesday, July 6 at Calvary at Noon. Rejuvenate!: We will worship in music with local bluegrass group The Country Boys on Saturday, July 9 at 6:00 PM in the fellowship hall. We will also enjoy an ice cream social. Mark your calendar and invite others to join us! Love Offering: For the past several years, Jeremy and Jewel Hefner have played a vital role in our Uplift worship ministry. They have invested countless hours in rehearsal and worship leadership; and they have brought to our team a level of professionalism, which if we had to pay for it we would not have been able to afford. Sadly, the Hefner s will soon be leaving us to take new jobs in the Raleigh area. As we prepare to send them off, however, we want to thank them for blessing us by giving them a gift. If you d like to participate, please mark your check or envelope Hefner s and drop it in the offering plate no later than Sunday, July 10. BYW Bake Sale: Again this year, Calvary' s BYW will be having a bake sale to help support Calvary' s Caring Crusaders Relay for Life effort. The "donations-only" event will be Sunday, July 17, in the corridor outside of the Fellowship Hall between services and after the Traditional Service. We hope that you will support this worthy cause. The Relay for Life itself is being held October 8 at Veteran's Park from 4-11 p.m. If you wish to support or participate, please contact Hope Lineberrry at halfpint0912@yahoo.com or 786-5821. Uplift Concert at Chick-fil-A: Our Uplift Praise Band will be performing another outdoor concert at Chick-fil-A on Saturday, July 23 at 7pm, so bring a chair, bring a friend, and join us for a great night of food and fun!
