ANNOUNCEMENTS Ragazze Coraggiose Youth Group Outing: Hidden Trails Flashlight Corn Maze Date: Friday Oct 12 Time: meet at 7PM Place: W4704 State Road 16 West Salem, Wisconsin *Remember your flashlight & field appropriate footwear Fundamentalism assumes that the Bible is fundamental. Catholicism retorts that the Bible is not a book but a collection of books, and hence the question more fundamental than Fundamentalism is: Who gathered the books together, and declared that they would constitute a Bible, and be regarded as the revealed Word of God? To answer this question is to get to a body beyond a book, namely, a Church with spirit; for Pentecost was not the descent of books on the heads of the Apostles but the descent of tongues. From that day on it was to be a tongue and a voice, and not a book, that would be fundamental in religion. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (In other words, the Bible is the Book of the Catholic Church. Period. Fr. Altman) Fr. Altman: Get this amazing little booklet on the Truth about the Bible that a Protestant minister confessed. Please welcome our new parishioners to the Parish Family of St. James the Less Roosevelt Wright SiYi Ji KNIGHTS OF ST. JOSEPH The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary and Respect for Life. The Knights will be earnestly renewing their fervor in praying the Rosary more ardently and offer one Rosary per day for the respect for life at conception and natural death, and for everything else in between. The Knights will gather on Friday, October 12, at 6:00 pm, at St. James the Less (1032 Caledonia Street) for their evening of prayer beginning by praying the Angelus. We will then pray Evening Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. After a period of Adoration, our evening concludes with the praying of Night Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours. Unfortunately, Fr. Altman will be unable to join us. for our evening of prayer on October 12. Men of all parishes are welcome to join us for our evenings of prayer on the second Friday of each month. We look forward to having you join us.
