The Booster Illinois District Church of the Nazarene April 2017 Issue Nothing will be impossible for you www.illinoisnaz.org Illinois District Office PO Box 1054, Alton, IL 62002 Phone: (618) 462-4361 Email:office@illinoisnaz.org Facebook: Illinois District Church of the Nazarene From the District Superintendent When the church was being launched in Antioch, Luke reminds us that as they shared the Good News with unbelievers, the presence and power of God was with them. In Acts 11 : 21 we read, The Lord s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. This Easter needs to be a turning point moment across the Illinois District. If we are to reach new people with the love, presence, and power of Jesus Christ in our community, it will come only as The Lord s hand is with them (us). Let s not be sitting in the seat of the scornful and holding back the church. Let s be on the front lines, full of the Holy Spirit and praying for God s hand upon our church. Today, make sure your heart is clean. Get rid of all the filthy idols we Nazarene s have collected over the years. Allow God to unleash HIS love, presence, and power through YOU. This may be the best Easter the Illinois District as ever experienced. It can be if we get out of the way and allow God to have His way. Please pray with me for a revival that will change us and empower our churches so we can influence our communities, knowing HIS hand is with us!! Jim James Kraemer Dist. Supt. Let s get our kids to Missions Tour. At our last council meeting it was decided that the District NMI was to give $2000 to purchase Headsets for the Hispanic Interpretation. Praise the Lord! A need has been brought to the Missions Council for helping raise money for Chairs, for our Hispanic Church in Effingham and for our new start, The Well in Mattoon. The chairs cost- with tax and shipping - roughly $40. If your church would like to be a part and help Purchase a chair you may send your money to the District Office. The General Church has requested that if in case of emergency on our homeland would we would make available or have on hand, Crisis Care Kits. This year at District Missions Convention we are asking that every church bring at least 1 Crisis Care Kit with them to convention. The Casey Church has a room set aside to store these. If your church can bring these to District Convention we will see that they get to the Casey Church.
