Sunday School for Everyone We have a variety of classes on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for all ages from newborn through adults. We would love to have you (and your friends and neighbors) join us as we study God s word together. For children: Babies and toddlers meet in the nursery under the care of Marsha Cox. Pre-school and kindergarten meet in a Fellowship Hall classroom. Denise Gindlesperger is the teacher. Elementary school class meets in a Fellowship Hall classroom with Vangie Knippenberg. In addition, there is Children s Church led by Robbie Runyon. Children meet with the entire congregation at 10:45 a.m. and will then move to the Fellowship Hall to worship with other children. For Teens: Middle school students meet in the hallway classroom by the nursery. Pastor Andrew Jones leads the discussion. High school students meet upstairs and are taught by Bob Aldrich. For Adults: We have several adult classes. Currently, they meet in each of the three classrooms off the lobby, the library, and the classroom behind through the Sanctuary (near the organ.) The adult teachers and discussion leaders are Mike DeLaquil, David Evans, Pastor Rob Merki, Steve Runyon, and Phil Werner. Topics change in these classes on a regular basis; the topics currently being studied in March 2018 are: Bible studies for young adults, college, and career (Steve Runyon) Women in the Bible (Mike DeLaquil, Pastor Rob Merki) Parables (David Evans) Esther (Phil Werner) Also, if you re interested in teaching any of the classes or serving as a helper (especially for the children s classes, please contact David Evans, Pastor Rob Merki, or any of our current teachers.

Baptism Opportunity Several of our teens and upper elementary age children will be baptized on Sunday, March 3 rd, during morning worship celebration. We are thrilled that they are making public testimony about their faith in Christ and their intentions to live for Him. If you have not been baptized and would feel God s leading to partake of the sacrament this Lord s Day, please contact Pastor Rob or Pastor Andrew. Emergency Family Shelter Our church will be hosting the shelter March 3 rd 10 th. Your help is needed to clear rooms for these families to sleep in and to share God s love by providing meals and being present. Sign up on the bulletin board to help with this ministry. Gideon s International George Sherwood will be in morning worship celebration with us on Sunday, March 11 th, to share about the marvelous work of the Gideon s Ministry. The compelling testimonies about the power of the Bible to transform lives will inspire, encourage, and challenge us all. March Fellowship Dinner - following worship celebration on March 11 th we will share together around the table as a church family. An added bonus of our luncheon will be that George Sherwood will join us to answer any extra questions we may have about the Gideon s and their ministry. Please sign up on the bulletin board. Daylight Savings Begins March 11 th this year. Please be sure to spring forward on Saturday, March 10 th, by setting your clocks forward an hour before going to bed. This will assure that none of us miss our beloved Bible study hour in Sunday School, or worship celebration that day.

NMI Council and Convention - Congratulations and welcome to the new Missions Council - Zipora Chepkoit, Mary Doody, Cathy Drake, Pat Fletcher, Kathy Kline, Dottie Puga, Delice Williams, Valerie Williams, Pastor Rob, and re-elected NMI President Clara Swengosh. The first meeting will be planned for right after Easter. Please be in prayer for the District Missions Convention April 7 and the delegates attending: Zipora and Ben Chepkoit, Cathy and Dave Drake, Pastor Rob, and Michael and Clara Swengosh. Celebration of Life Banquet - The theme this year is Let Life Shine! Abby Johnson has always had a fierce determination to help women in need. It was this desire that both led Abby to a career with Planned Parenthood, our nation s largest abortion provider, and caused her to flee the organization and become an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement. This fundraising banquet is on Saturday, March 24 th, at 6pm at the Frederick Clarion Inn Event Center. See the bulletin board in the foyer for more information and to sign up. Alabaster Offering - On February 25 th, we collected $900.01 to send to the mission field to support the construction and upkeep of buildings such as churches, parsonages, hospitals, clinics, and schools. Thank you for your generous giving! Holy Week The last Sunday of March will mark the beginning of Holy Week. Palm Sunday is March 25 th, and Easter is April 1 st, this year. We will celebrate Christ s Triumphal Entry as well as Good Friday and Resurrection Day with worship and celebration. Peru 2018 Planning Meeting - Those going on the Work & Witness trip to Peru in July will need to be present for this gathering on Saturday, March 10 th, at 9:30 a.m. at Grace Pointe. This meeting will be largely about planning and organizing the ministries of the trip, including logistical preparation for the 4-day VBS we will lead while in Piura. We will plan to carpool from the church leaving at 8:15. If you are not going on this mission trip but would want to support one of the team members, please talk to or call or email Pastor Rob. Teen Hiking The teens will be going hiking at Sugar Loaf Mountain following the morning service on March 25 th. Make sure you bring a packed lunch, a water bottle, and comfortable shoes for an afternoon adventure. Women s Ministry Baby Shower Saturday, March 17 th, at 12 noon, the ladies will host another baby shower, this time for Jake & Sarah Harne as they await the birth of their precious little boy. Please bring a gift and a snack to share to celebrate this gift from God. Teen Bible Quiz Our teen quizzers will be having their last quiz of the season at Grace Pointe on March 24 th. Congratulations to Stone, Alex, and Calvin on their months of delving into 1 & 2 Corinthians. Fun at Baby Joyce s Shower

Men s Prayer Breakfast The blessings of gathering around the Word of God, in prayer and in fellowship, are amazing.
