To everyone who brought candy, who made chili, who ran games, who set up rooms, who cleaned tables, who greeted guests, who invited friends, who came and ate and participated, thank you! We estimate we had about 250 folks come and participate! I am thankful for connections that were made and invitations extended! While we celebrated Fall-o-ween yesterday, historically Halloween evolved from All Hallow s Eve, the day before All Saints Day, where we remember those who have died but have witnessed to their faith in our lives. So today is All Saints Day, a day in the life of the church where we remember those who have witnessed to faith in God and impacted our lives through their witness. In a week where so

much has gone on in our world and in our lives, as we remember those who have died with grief and sorrow, and as we begin a holiday season that brings on stress and anxiety for so many, the reminder this All Saints Day that God is with us through all that life brings is powerful! This Sunday, we will remember our saints of Cornerstone in worship, and as we receive communion, recognizing Jesus bringing all together around the table, you will have an opportunity to light a candle for those in your life who have died that you wish to honor and remember. We will also be beginning our November sermon series Anxious for Nothing, that invites us in the holiday season of stress and anxiety to find calm in the midst of chaos. So I hope you will join us at 9 or 11 as we remember the saints, as we gather around the communion table, and as we Celebrate God s Goodness with Isaiah 25:6-9 and give thanks for God s eternal presence with us. In Christ, Pastor Kathleen 2. GLORIOUS GIVING MARKET Cornerstone s Glorious Giving Market will be next Sunday, November 11, from 10 AM 1PM. Our GGM is one way to share Christ love through an alternate giving opportunity for the Christmas season. Plan to visit the 11 mission booths. Enjoy the fellowship of eating in the Mission Café.
