~Cursillo: An Opportunity to Deepen Your Faith~ Cursillo is a short course in Christianity. It is an encounter with Christ in a small community of the Church, in order to deepen your own faith and strengthen your ability to be witnesses of Christ in the world. The Women s Cursillo weekend dates are October 20-23, 2016. The weekend runs from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon and is held at the Campion Center in Weston MA. Protecting God s Children Training: Virtus Training is designed to assist people in recognizing potential child abuse and ways we can protect all God s children. St. Blaise is sponsoring a Virtus Training on Wednesday, October 19th from 7:00-10:00 pm in the Rectory. If you have any questions or would like to register for the training please call the office. Please note: ALL parish volunteers in all ministries MUST attend a training. If you have attended a training in the past you do not need to attend. Again, if you have any questions please contact Beth or Paula. Knights of Columbus Cribbage Tournament: will be held on Saturday evening October 22nd, doors open at 6:00 pm and games start at 6:30 pm. You may sign up for Competitive or recreational play. Registration information can be found on the registration form at the doors of the church. St.Vincent de Paul will sponsor a DELI- CIOUS Pancake Breakfast Sunday October 30th after all the masses. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, breakfast pastries, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Tickets will be sold at the door for adults $6.00, children 6-12 $3.00, under 6 free and a family max of $20.00. All Are Welcome! All proceeds directly assist Bellingham families in need, please support this important ministry. Ladies of St. Ann Bake Sale After all Masses October 22 & 23 St. Blaise Church A Countdown to Christmas Fair! Saturday Nov. 12th 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Lottery Ticket Christmas Tree! New this year, replacing the tree of lights, a Lottery Ticket Christmas Tree! If you would like to donate a lottery scratch ticket for the tree, you may place it in the collection basket marked fall fair tree, drop it off at the rectory, or mail to the rectory. Raffle tickets for the Lottery Ticket Tree will be on sale at the fair and after Masses soon. Spaghetti Dinner We will conclude the fair with a spaghetti dinner: Spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and dessert! Grandma s Attic It s never to early to start cleaning your closets and putting items away for Grandma s attic. Dates for drop off will be announced soon. Basket Raffle The basket raffle is in need of basket donations. Whether we are speaking out on behalf of the unborn or sharing how God has worked in our life, take to heart Paul s words, do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord Think of the testimony of our October saints: Francis, Teresa of Avila, Therese of Lisiuex, Faustin, and the North American martyrs just to name a few. Share your story, your testimony. Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry October Donations: The food pantry is requesting brown and white rice. Thank you for your continued support! We as a parish would like to thank the Remlin s for their piano donation. The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola The Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius in Every Day Life (the 19th Annotation Retreat) is available for Catholic adults in a group setting. The Spiritual Exercises extend over the course of twenty-four weeks. This year the exercises begin on Wednesday November 30, 2016 and conclude May 3, 2017. The group will meet weekly from 7pm to 9pm at Mount Alvernia High School, 790 Centre Street, Newton, MA 02458 Father John Sassani and Mary Ann McLaughlin will direct the Spiritual Exercises. For further information please call 617-779-3640 or email spiritual_development@rcab.org Samuel Circles for Men Discerning Religious Life A coalition of Men s Religious Communities serving in the Archdiocese of Boston will host Samuel Circles, evening gatherings each month for young single men who are looking into the possibility of joining a Religious community. The next Samuel Circle will take place at The Assumptionist Center, 330 Market Street, Brighton on October 5th from 7:00 9:00 p.m. The name for these gatherings is taken from the story of the call of the prophet Samuel who heard his name called from God as a young man and was aided by the prophet Eli. Helping People with Intellectual Disabilities The Knights of Columbus will be conducting the annual Tootsie Roll Drive here at St. Blaise the weekend of October 8th & 9th. The drive raises money to support programs that assist people with intellectual disabilities. Thank you for your support.

Drawings are held in the church hall after the 10:00 A.M. Mass. Only paid memberships will be included in the drawings Membership confirmation and ball number will be mailed to member upon receipt of paid application. Member does not have to be present to win. Winners will be posted each month in the bulletin. Prizes will be mailed to winners the following week of the drawing. If we exceed our minimum goal of 250 members, we will add more cash prizes. The committee reserves the right to cancel the club and refund membership fees if insufficient memberships are sold. Prizes: Monthly drawings will consist of FIVE $50 cash awards each month. GRAND PRIZES: One $500 cash award both in September and December, as well as One $250 cash award and a seller s drawing of a $100 cash award to be given away at the final drawing in December.
