AN EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK OUTCAST CHAPTER 10: ESPIONAGE. A STRANGE DREAM That night I dreamed that I was in Battle Creek looking out from the side glass at the door and saw a company marching up to the house, two and two. They looked stern and determined. I knew them well and turned to open the parlor door to receive them, but thought I would look again. The scene was changed. The company now presented the appearance of a Catholic procession. One bore in his hand a cross, another a reed. And as they approached, the one carrying a reed made a circle around the house, saying three times: This house is proscribed. The goods must be confiscated. They have spoken against our holy order. Terror seized me, and I ran through the house, out of the north door, and found myself in the midst of a company, some of whom I knew, but I dared not speak a word to them for fear of being betrayed. I tried to seek a retired spot where I might weep and pray without meeting eager, inquisitive eyes wherever I turned. I repeated frequently: If I could only understand this! If they will tell me what I have said or what I have done. I wept and prayed much as I saw our goods confiscated. I tried to read sympathy or pity for me in the looks of those around me, and marked the countenances of several whom I thought would speak to me and comfort me if they did not fear that they would be observed by others. I made one attempt to escape from the crowd, but seeing that I was watched, I concealed my intentions. I commenced weeping aloud, and saying: If they would only tell me what I have done or what I have said! My husband, who was sleeping in a bed in the same room, heard me weeping aloud and awoke me. My pillow was wet with tears, and a sad depression of spirits was upon me. Testimonies For The Church, Volume 1, page 578.
COMMENTARY To my mind, the key things here are the following. First is this. She dreamed she was in Battle Creek. Folks, Battle Creek used to be the headquarters of the church. So she was shown something that would happen at the headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Secondly, the object under attack is her property, her goods and she knew well those who were doing the attacking. What goods did Sister White have that spoke against the holy order of the Roman Catholic Church? Her manuscripts and books. And what did she see happening in her dream? Those manuscripts and books were being proscribed that s forbidden, banned, prohibited, made illegal, restricted, controlled, and finally, confiscated. Remember, all this is at the headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Some of you are probably still in denial, but I ll continue. Listen very carefully to what I have to say here. Can anybody doubt that the church s trademark of the name Ellen White (which has effectively tied up books that were in the public domain, thus preventing independent ministries from publishing them) is at least part of what she saw in her dream? No doubt there will be more to come as Satan uses even more nuanced and sophisticated arguments than those put forth in the Trademark issue, to try to block the light in these books from coming to the world, but does it surprise anyone that the General Conference attorney in whose hands at least some of this work has been committed, was reported in at least one issue of the Review to be a Roman Catholic himself? Does it bother you that they ve admitted he s paid with your tithe? Lest we lose track of the main issue here: can anyone doubt that this dream is pointing to the church, and what the church would do in an attempt, not to disseminate the truth, but to shut it up, lest it shine forth to the world? That s why I ve raised the issue of this dream i.e., that you might be prepared! That you might know what is written in our literature. That you might know who s in our midst, mild, smiling, but cunning as a den of foxes, doing everything they can to keep the church as quiet as a pack of church mice. Contend for the faith, beloved, regardless of whose toes you step on that s the time in which we live. Let your sons and your daughters see you taking a stand for something!
One more thing before we move on lest you think all this talk about infiltration is pie in the sky. About two decades ago someone anonymously sent us copies of a few pages from a Roman Catholic yearbook in which were listed the names of what seemed like hundreds of priests from around the world. In the pages we received, four or five names were underlined. The note attached simply suggested we check out the backgrounds of these four or five. We picked one and began our inquiry. Contacting the Roman Catholic Church listed, we asked for Father soand-so, and were told he was on some kind of Sabbatical. Really? How convenient. So where was he? And what kind of assignment was he on? I ask these questions because, believe it or not, somebody with that same name was employed at the Review. No doubt that was the point being made by the person who sent us the list. I m going to confess to you, I became nervous. If the two persons were one and the same, what did it mean? And what of the other three names? Were there more? How many more? Hundreds, perhaps? I think right here we need to point out that infiltration is not a new strategy within the Protestant/Catholic divide. Sir Francis Walsingham, considered the Dean of Britain s spymasters during the Elizabethan era, used this strategy of infiltrating Catholic seminaries in an attempt to discover the various plots hatched there, or elsewhere, against the Queen whom he d been sworn to defend. And then, just to add a little fuel to the fire here, let s skip on down the road to this little known letter from the 2 nd President of these United States, John Adams, to the 3 rd, Thomas Jefferson. Written long after both were out of office, Adams letter should be compulsory reading in every high school in America and in the seminaries also. Sir Francis Walsngham. Dean of Britain s spymasters under queen Elizabeth 1.
IGNATIUS LOYOLA
JOHN ADAMS
A PENCHANT FOR DISGUISE I do not like the reappearance of the Jesuits This he said after the Jesuits had been reinstated on the 7th of August, 1814, by Pope Pius VII, after having been banned by a perpetual decree issued on July 21, 1773 by the now infallible Pope Clement XIV. I say infallible because infallibility had now been instituted as a dogma of the Church during the pontificate of Lincoln s contemporary, Pope Pius IX. So one infallible pope overrules another infallible pope get it? Adams continues. Shall we not have regular swarms of them here, in as many disguises as only a king of the gypsies can assume, dressed as printers, publishers, writers and schoolmasters. I have lately read Pascal s letters over again, and four volumes of the history of the Jesuits. If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in Hell, it is this society of Loyola s. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religious toleration to offer them an asylum. This is from John Adams letter to Thomas Jefferson, May 5, 1816. Wrote Jefferson in return: Like you, I disapprove of the restoration of the Jesuits, for it means a step backwards from light into darkness. The potent word in Adams missive is disguises. Friend, the Jesuits are masters of disguise. And this isn t David Mould saying it, but one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of these United States. Maybe you ll believe him!
