Page Four Holy Trinity May 31, 2015 We need more Liturgical Ministers As summer approaches and graduations time starts, The can t serve dates in Ministry Scheduler increase. We just don t have enough liturgical ministers to assign to each Mass. Please consider choosing a ministry either: Sacristan, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Usher, or Altar Server. You can tell us which Mass you attend and how many times a month you can serve. Once a month is even helpful. We will make sure you get trained. If you would like to volunteer or have questions please contact the parish office. BTAC DONATIONS Thanks to all who donated socks and underwear to the homeless of Burbank. This is an ongoing need, so the box for donations will remain in the vestibule for the time being. Special Collection Priest Retirement Fund Next weekend all parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will be asked to give generously to support the Retirement Fund for Archdiocesan Priests. At each Mass on June 6 th & 7 th, a second collection will be taken to benefit this important program. Currently, the fund provides for more than 100 priests who are retired. Over the next ten years, that number is expected to increase significantly. With minimal compensation, and in many cases, no pension, these men often retire with nothing to fall back upon. Your contributions can change that. The Priest Retirement Fund offers us a way to give back to our Catholic priests who have served us so faithfully. Your contribution will help archdiocesan priests live modestly and peacefully in retirement. Help us offer thanks for their years of devotion to God, and faithful service to our parish communities. Your generosity greatly appreciated. Who are our Secret Doers? Who do you want to nominate in our Parish? Who have you seen help someone in need? Who do you know that does something for our parish, but other parishioners don t know? We want your input. We want to recognize that unknown person. We want to recognize the quiet, secret doer. The Secret Doer Box is located on the hospitality table. Please nominate that secret doer today. Look for the brochures in the pews next weekend for more information. School is almost out, and many new opportunities for recreation and relaxation await. Maybe you are sending your children to a music or sports camp? Or maybe they have been invited by their friends to go camping in the mountains or at the beach? Whatever the situation, it is important to remember that parents have the responsibility of controlling access that new people will have to their children. If your child will attend a summer camp, insist that counselors or anyone else who might have access to your children have undergone an application process that includes a criminal background check and reference checks.
