ST. DOMINIC CATHOLIC CHURCH Eucharistic Adoration Adoration will begin immediately following the 8:15 am mass on Mondays and extend continuously until 1:00 am on Wednesday mornings. The Blessed Sacrament is displayed on the altar in the chapel. Silence should be maintained in the chapel at all times. At least 2 people will be scheduled the entire time, unscheduled adorers may come at any time and stay as long as they can. Lenten Regulations Regarding Fasting and Abstinence We are called to fast on ASH WEDNESDAY and GOOD FRIDAY (if we are able) from our 18 th birthday until our 59 th birthday. Fasting means limiting ourselves to one full meal a day. The other two meals should be lighter than they normally would be. Eating between meals is to be avoided. Catholics who are 14 years old and over are required to give up meat on those days and all the Fridays of Lent as well.

The Oil of the Sick for the healing of body, mind and soul. The Oil of Catechumens for those preparing for Baptism. The Holy Chrism to anoint infants after Baptism, those to be confirmed, Bishops and Priests at their ordinations, and altars and churches at the time of their dedication. All members of our Diocese are encouraged to attend. Wed. March 28 5:30 pm Mass 6:00 pm Seder meal This is a reenactment of the traditional ritual Passover Seder meal. The tradition of annually celebrating the Passover Seder meal reflects our Jewish roots in the tradition of the Passover, which brings to life the fundamental pattern of all of scripture which is captivity, freedom and covenant. This tradition is fulfilled in Our Lord s passion, death and resurrection celebrated in our daily Mass. This ritual celebration is followed by a Parish Dinner. This includes the annual washing of the feet which reminds us of the need for humility and the call to serve just as Christ served. The altar is left bare and the sacrifice of the Mass is not celebrated.
