Gather and "give thanks with a grateful heart" and then join us for pie in Larkin Hall. St. Thomas is at 5306 E. Arbor Rd., Long Beach CA 90808. Pledge Campaign Update: To date we have received pledge commitments from 41 members totaling $117,390. Our stewardship goals are to increase giving by at least 5% for a total gift of $280,153 from 110 members. It takes all of us to support

and run our parish. If you have not submitted your 2019 pledge, please prayerfully consider your amount and place your pledge card in the offering plate by Sunday, November 11th. All pledges will be blessed during services on Sunday, November 18th. Additional pledge cards can be obtained in the narthex or in the parish office. Also, please note that only those who pledge and indicate on their pledge card that they would like envelopes will receive them for 2019. Dawn will be ordering envelopes soon! Holiday Food Basket Drive: Our next Outreach opportunity is an established favorite with St. Gregory's parishioners. Our Holiday Food Basket drive has begun. In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, we are collecting food for families provided to us by the County of Los Angeles. The list of food needs can be found on the table set up this Sunday. You may also provide gift cards or checks with a note "Outreach". This collection will end in November when the Food Baskets will be delivered. Thank you from the Outreach Committee! Picture Directory: We are preparing to do an updated parish directory, complete with parishioners' pictures. We are also checking to make sure that we have correct contact information. If you have not had your picture taken, let us know and we will make arrangements to have you photographed. Donations Requested for Holly Faire: The ECW and Women's Board are seeking your donations of merchandise and food items in support of our booths at Holly Faire 2018. Merchandise for Aunt Hattie's Attic (vintage y items) and Silent Auction (new luxury or gift

items) are being accepted now through Tuesday, November 13. Place them on the Holly Faire table in the Parish Hall, or contact the ECW members below to make other arrangements. Food items for Holly Café (homemade and baked) are welcomed in the Parish Kitchen on Friday, November 16 only. Tickets for 'Meet The Authors @ Holly Faire 2018' are still available online at Eventbrite or the St. Gregory's Facebook page, and in person at the Christian Cove boutique. Bring a friend! Thank you in advance for your generous contributions and for turning out at Holly Faire 2018. Questions? Lurlie Edgecomb (562) 598 1458, lurlie@zero3nine.com or Laura Samaniego (562) 230 1705, laurasam5@aol.com. If anyone can spare a few hours Friday, November 16 or Saturday, November 17, your help, no matter how little or big, would be greatly appreciated.
