The Danger of Anti-Semitism

Intersectionality is the latest academic craze sweeping the American academy. On the surface, it s a recent neo-marxist theory that argues that social oppression does not simply apply to single categories of identity such as race, gender, sexual orientation, class, etc. but to all of them in an interlocking system of hierarchy and power. At least, that s my best attempt to define it briefly. But watching that video helps show how an otherwise challenging social theory can often operate in practice. Alan Dershowitz on Intersectionality, Gatestone Institute, March 29, 2017 The linking of unrelated victimizations, despite their tenuous connections, is reflective of a broader trend in hard-left politics, whereby increasingly, radical activists demand that the demonization of Zionists often used as a euphemism for Jews be included, indeed featured, in the package of causes that must be embraced by anyone claiming the label of progressive. Lumping seemingly disparate groups under the umbrella of oppression leads to the forming of alliances between causes that at best, have nothing to do with each other, and at worst, are averse to one another s stated mission. Their only common feature is that to join, they must demonize the nation state of the Jewish people.

Alan Dershowitz on Intersectionality, Gatestone Institute, March 29, 2017 Some intersectional feminists involved with the recent Women s March on Washington, for example, purport to be natural allies with anti-israel Muslim groups that tolerate, if not accept, the honor killings and genital mutilation of women. Similarly, Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP) an organization that calls for an end to violence against civilians, and peace and justice for all peoples of the Middle East invited Rasmieh Odeh, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and convicted terrorist, to appear as a speaker at its national conference later this month. The idea of Odeh a terrorist who quite literally has blood on her hands speaking for a Jewish organization that claims to propagate peace, flies in the face of logic. Fortunately, Odeh is being deported for perjuriously failing to disclose her murder conviction. Perhaps peaceloving members of JVP will have to applaud her on Skype.

God s Plan for Israel Isa. 44:26, Who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited, to the cities of Judah, You shall be built, and I will raise up her waste places; Jer. 16:15, but, The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them. God s Plan for Israel Jer. 23:3, But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. Jer. 23:5, Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

Three Distinct Attempts to Discredit Israel s Right to the Land 1. Petition to get the Balfour Declaration rescinded.

From the WCC website: In the Balfour Declaration of 1917 later incorporated in the British Mandate for Palestine the British Government expressed its support for the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people and committed to use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country. Unfortunately, as history has demonstrated, the rights of the non- Jewish communities in Palestine have not been protected as envisaged in the declaration.

In a September 22, 2016 speech to the UN General Assembly, Abbas again held Britain responsible for the Palestinian Nakba, saying: By the end of the year (2017), a century will have passed since the issuing of the Balfour Declaration, 70 years since the Nakba of our Palestinian people, and 50 years since the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. since the terrible Balfour Declaration, in which Britain unjustly gave the land of Palestine to another people, thereby paving the way for the Nakba of Palestinian people and their dispossession and displacement from their land. Not content with this, the British Mandate [then] translated this Declaration into measures and a policy that contributed to committing the gravest crime against a people living peacefully in its own land, a people that never attacked anyone or participated in a war against anyone.
