Excess (Shortage) 419 7,358 Hello! It feels like this year has flown by! It has been a joy to learn with you over these last few months as we have looked at Covenants and stories from the Old Testament. We'll be continuing our journey in November as we begin a section on prophets and their message about how God instructs us to live in community. We'll be reading Scripture of Elisha in Kings, Micah, Isaiah, and Jeremiah. I will be missing you all and Fairbury as we have a trip planned to spend time with extended family in the end of November, but you will be in great hands. Josh Clemons will be preaching the story from Isaiah on November 18 and JD Buchenau will be tackling Jeremiah on November 25. Then before you know it, Advent will be here as we'll prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ! I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving Day and time with loved ones. Blessings in Christ, Automatic Giving First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury has a new tool available to you to help with your stewardship pledging. We now have an authorization form which allows your support of our church to be done automatically on a regular basis. For this to happen, you would need to complete an authorization form which details the amount to be withdrawn, the frequency of withdrawal, the initiation date and the banking institution from which the funds are to be withdrawn. Forms and instructions are available in the church office. When completed, please place the form in a sealed envelope in the Financial Secretary/Willa Virkler mailbox at church. 0r mail the same to First Presbyterian Church, C/O Willa Virkler, 101 E Elm Street, Fairbury, IL 61739.
