WELCOME. We re glad to gather together as a community of faith today. No matter where you are on the journey of faith, you are welcome here, to join in worship and service. SERMON Not Building in Vain Rev. Scott Ramsey * AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Do you believe in God, the Father almighty? I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. Do you believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God? I believe in Jesus Christ, God s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and was buried; he descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT WESTGATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - On Monday, November 12 there are a variety of volunteer opportunities at Westgate Elementary School, our partner school. While Monday is a Federal holiday (Veterans Day), school will be in session. You can assist classroom teachers, help out in the library or the computer lab, work with art/music teachers, or work outdoors in the garden. Lewinsville Presbyterian would like to send each Lewinsville Presbyterian college student a care package to encourage them during this stressful test season. We continue to welcome young adults, including college and graduate students, singles, families and our elderly who are far from home or without family.
