It was hope that gave people the courage to go on, and it was hope that directed their prayers toward a Messiah. Because of our trust in what God has already done for us, we are bold to hope for what He will yet do with us. The Reading of the Advent Scripture Isaiah 40: 3-5

My surgery was a tremendous success. I especially want to thank my Deacon, Joyce Mantiply, for the tremendous help and support she gave me. There is an Angel among us. Don Martineau Poinsettia Orders - Orders are now being taken. The cost of each poinsettia is $11.50. Forms are available throughout of the church as well as in the bulletin. Please be sure to supply all of the information for each poinsettia ordered. Checks should be made payable to: GABC & poinsettia order should be written on the for line of your check. Form & check can be returned to the church office or placed in the Church Office Mailbox by 12/1/14. Church Family Night Dinner and Program will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Dinner will be at 5:45 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Cost of supper is $5/pp, $1.50 per child and a maximum of $15 per family. Please join us for good food and fellowship! CHRISTMAS 2014 SCHEDULE Sunday November 30 1 st Sunday of Advent Wednesday December 3 Hanging of the Greens One of the more meaningful of our Advent Services is the annual Hanging of the Green. This the time when all our members are invited to share in the decorating of the sanctuary for the Christmas season. This will include children, youth, and adults. Be sure to put this date on your calendar and plan for the whole family to share in this service together. Sunday December 7 2 nd Sunday of Advent Wednesday December 10 Committee Night Sunday December 14 3 rd Sunday of Advent Christmas Music Our Sanctuary Choir will present beautiful Christmas Music at our 10:30 a.m. Worship Service. Invite friends, family and neighbors to again hear the true meaning of Christmas as it is presented in such beautiful music and the spoken word. You will be blessed! Wednesday December 17 Santa Supper Santa will visit all the children during supper. Invite your family and friends to share this exciting event. Bring your cameras to capture the looks on the children s faces when Santa arrives. There will be sign-up sheets in the upper and lower hallways of the Education Building and in the vestibule of the Sanctuary. Please note: there will be no Youth or Bible Study that evening.
