Amen. Let us come into the light, the revealing and healing light of God. Silence is kept for reflection. God of grace and glory, you have brought us through the night of sin into the light of Jesus' resurrection. Yet our lives are still shadowed by sin. Make us alive in Christ, O God. Make us new as you make all things new. Rescue us from evil and the gloom of sin, renew us in grace, and restore us to living in your holiness, through Jesus Christ, our risen Lord. Amen.

Rejoice with all creation around God's throne! The light of the risen Christ puts to flight all evil deeds, washes away sin, restores innocence to the fallen, casts out hate, brings peace, and humbles earthly pride. Jesus Christ loves you and + frees you from your sins by his blood. To him be glory and dominion forever and ever! Amen. Let us pray together... O Lord God, you teach us that without love, our actions gain nothing. Pour into our hearts your most excellent gift of love, that, made alive by your Spirit, we may know goodness and peace, through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen Congregation may be seated CHILDREN S MESSAGE SCRIPTURE SONG -- As the Deer Verse 1 As the deer pants for the water So my soul longs after You You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship You Chorus You alone are my strength my shield To You alone may my spirit yield You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship You Verse 2 You're my friend And You are my brother Even though You are a King I love You more than any other So much more than anything Verse 3 I want You more than gold Or silver Only You can satisfy You alone are the real joygiver And the apple of my eye CCLI Song No. 1431 1984 Maranatha Praise, Inc. SCRIPTURE READING John 13:31-35 After washing the disciples' feet, predicting his betrayal, and then revealing his betrayer, Jesus speaks of his glorification on the cross. This deep complicated love of Jesus, even to death on the cross, will be the distinctive mark of Jesus' community. When Judas had gone out to betray him, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him. If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once. Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come.' I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." MESSAGE FOR THE DAY SONG OF THE DAY -- I Could Sing of Your Love Forever Over the mountains and the sea Your river runs with love for me And I will open up my heart And let the Healer set me free I'm happy to be in the truth And I will daily lift my hands For I will always sing Of when Your love came down I could sing of Your love forever (Repeat 3 times) Oh I feel like dancing It's foolishness I know But when the world Has seen the light They will dance with joy Like we're dancing now CCLI Song No. 1043199 1994 Curious? Music UK (Admin. by EMI Christian Music Publishing) Martin Smith For use solely with the SongSelect Terms of Use. All rights Reserved. www.ccli.com CCLI License No. 2823825 NICENE CREED Let us confess our faith using the words of the Nicene Creed We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,

God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and became truly human For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,* who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION The prayers will be offered in petitions ending in Lord, in your mercy. The congregation will respond, Hear our prayer PEACE The peace of Christ be with you always. And also with you. The people may greet one another with a sign of Christ's peace, and may say, "Peace be with you," or similar words. Please remain standing after this.

OFFERING PRAYER Blessed are you, O God, ruler of heaven and earth. Day by day you shower us with blessings. As you have raised us to new life in Christ, give us glad and generous hearts, ready to praise you and to respond to those in need, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. HOLY COMMUNION The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give God thanks and praise. It is indeed right, our duty and our joy we praise your name and join their unending hymn:

In the night in which he was betrayed, our Lord Jesus took bread, and gave thanks; broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take and eat; this is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me. Again, after supper, he took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it for all to drink, saying: This cup is the new covenant in my blood, shed for you and for all people for the forgiveness of sin. Do this for the remembrance of me Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen The table of life is spread before you. Feast on the goodness and mercy of God.

As you come forward receive the bread from the Pastor and then dip it in the cup held by the Communion Assistant. Then partake of the elements together. You may return to your place by using the side aisle. The Praise Band will be singing during distribution. You are welcome to sing along. PRAYER AND BLESSING We give you thanks, O God, that you make your home with us, bringing heaven to earth in this holy meal. Fill us with your Spirit as we go from here, that we may wipe away tears, tend to those in mourning and pain, seek the healing of the nations, and bring to earth the presence of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. The blessing of the Lord God Almighty, the blessing of + Christ, the Lamb who was slain, and the blessing of the Holy Spirit of truth be among you and remain with you always. Amen.
