Westminster Palace called as the Houses of Parlament is the seat of members of Parlament and the place where the most significant events take place.

The official residence of Britain s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarh.

One of the wonders of the World Stonehege, the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe.

Tower Bridge is one of the most recognizable bridges built in Victoria s Gothic Style. It s history can be known by films, photos and media in the interior of the bridge.

Tower of London is a place built by William the Conqueror for it Crown Jewels but it was also a prison for opponents and the seat of kings during the historical turbulent time.

A gigant observation wheel that was built as a part of London s millenium celebrations it s the view on the picturesque landscape of London.

The most popular Wax Museum opened in 1835 called Madame Tussauds Museum where visitors can see the wax replicas of famous people.

Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill

Who was he? He was British Prime Minister, politician, writer, historian and laureate of Nobel Prize. He is the greatest Brition. He deserved to be in the Battle of Britain.

Why was he famous? He was famous, because he save his country against Hitler during Second World War. People remember him today. Every Briton knows that thanks to him they leave in the free country. To this day, his words are mentioned before Hitler's attack: We shall fight on the beaches, in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; never surrender... and after the attack: So in the end we won! (...) England will live, will live United Kingdom, the British Commonwealth and Empire will live.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel

Who he was? British engineer, designer of steamships, bridges, mostly hanging ones. Brunel's works are divided into four periods: the construction of tunnels, bridges and railway lines, and seagoing ships.

Why was he famous? He was famous for his constructions such as the most important bridges, tunnels, railway stations, railways and ships in England.

Diana Spencer

Who she was? The first wife of Charles, mother of William, Duke of Cambridge and Henry, prince of Wales, was a benevolent charity activist and lover of fashion. She died tragically in the car accident.

Why was he famous? Diana remained one of the most popular members of the British Royal Family. She became famous philanthropic and charitable activities, and a penchant for fashion, which earned her the nicknames Princess of the People and fashion icons. Media was interested in her private life because it was not only fascinating but also controversial.

Charles Darwin

Who was he? English naturalist, founder of the theory of evolution, according to which all species descended from earlier forms, the author of the publication in which he presented arguments in support of its argument.

Why was he famous? He was famous for Britain society as the best naturalist. He founded theory of evolution and he was famous not only in England but also in the whole world.

Wiliam Shakespeare

Who he was? The most recognizable English poet, playwrighter and actor. Widely regarded as one of the greatest writers in English literature and theatre reformers.

Why was he famous? He was famous for his wonderful books, he was a national poet of England, thanks to him the English vocabulary risen up of about 600 words. On his monument it has been inscribed : IVDICIO PYLIUM, GENIO Socrate, ARTE Maron, TERRA TEGIT, Populus MAERET, OLYMPUS Habet.

Isaac Newton

Who he was? He was English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, philosopher, historian, scholar of the Bible and alchemist.

Why was he famous? He became famous for discovery of the law of universal gravitation and the three principles theories of dynamic. He discovered that the force that makes apples fall from the tree, is the same type as the force that keeps the moon in orbit around the Earth Planet. His theory of gravity and the work on movement and light, and the invention of the reflecting telescope has deeply influenced the development of astronomy.

Elizabeth I

Who he was? Queen of England and Ireland, The daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. The last of the Tudor family. Called The Gloria or the Virgin Queen. She was touched by the skin acnes of his appearance, despite the undeniable beauty, she had remnants of smallpox, which was very ashamed, so he took her overdone Make-up.

Why was he famous? She was famous for her consummate Politician and determined fight for the good of England.Her nickname The Virgin Queen came from her being against the marriage. The only men in her life is England and all Britons are her children.

John Lennon

Who was he? He was a British musician, composer, singer and songwriter, one of the Beatles.

Why was he famous? He became famous in the world as one of the founding members of The Beatles. He was known also by his black, round glasses.

Horatio Nelson

Who he was? He was an English Admiral, Viscount, Duke Brontu, Baron of the Nile. The most famous admiral in the history of the British fleet, who twice defeated the French fleet.

Why was he famous? In 1797 he distinguished himself at the battle of St. Vincent against the Spanish fleet. One of his biggest successes was winning the Abu Qir (1798), which determined the failure of Napoleon's invasion of Egypt. In 1805 won a magnificent victory over the combined forces of the Franco-Spanish naval Trafalgar near Gibraltar. His victory in the battle plan shattered French invasion of England.

Oliver Cromwell

Who was he? He was an English politician, the main character of the English Civil War, Lord Protector of England, Scotland and Ireland.

Why was he famous? He was the head of the bourgeois revolution in English Louis XIV King of France, the most prominent representative of European absolutism King Carl Gustaf of Sweden. In his foreign policy sought to master the coast of the Baltic Sea (Dominium Maris Baltici), to join the Swedish Royal Prussia and Livonia, then Russian lslands. He started the war of Polish in 1655, known as the "Swedish Deluge''.
