TAC Times May 2014 All Church Gathering On Sunday, May 4 th, our church family will gather in the cafeteria after worship for a catered meal and a time of sharing, information, and inspiration. We will join in fellowship as we continue with our stewardship enrichment program, Upon This Rock. In order to prepare ourselves for this time together, Fr. Don has asked us to read II Corinthians 8 and 9, as the Apostle Paul speaks to us about stewardship and God s blessing of His people. Then, read I Chronicles 28 and 29, allowing King David to speak to you from God s Word about how you can lead within our congregation. This is a critical time in our church s history, and it is crucial that we continue to gather, learn, pray, and grow together to the glory of our God. See you there!!

THE OSL CORNER by Sharon Parker The Order of St. Luke the Physician is an inter-denominational, international ministry for healing of body, mind and spirit. By the Grace of God and through the sacrifice of His Only Risen and Precious Son, we are redeemed, Hallelujah!! And through the power and authority He has given us, we are to follow Jesus and do the things he did and even more. Even More? In Mark 16: 15-18, Jesus says, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe. In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. Now I am not sure about the picking up snakes with our hands and drinking deadly poison part, but, how can we do any of this if we do not believe that Jesus has given us this power and authority? How do we get this knowledge from our heads into our hearts so that we can do what Our Lord tells us to do? One way is to get to know the Word of God and believe what it says. That is what the Order of St. Luke is striving to do by studying the Miracles of Jesus in the new OSL Immersion class and by hosting a healing conference Friday, May 9 th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 10 th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Heritage Christian Academy. The Rev. Jack Sheffield, the national director of OSL, will be here to teach and to administer healing to us and to ALL who attend. This is a wonderful opportunity for our congregation and those we invite to join us. Jack is a dynamic teacher and author of four anointed books: God s Healing River, Under Healing Wings, The Genesis Seed and, Show Me Your Glory. He and his wife, Anna Marie, co-founded Deep River Ministries in San Antonio and established Christ Healing Center; a place of prayer and healing for individuals who come by appointment. They minister in all denominational and non-denominational churches both nationally and internationally. So please join us; you won t be the same after the conference. Information and registration forms can be found on the information table at the back of the church and in your Sunday bulletins. Invite your family and friends and get registered now! The Order of St. Luke will hold its next meeting in the HCA cafeteria on Saturday, May 17 th, beginning at with a pot luck brunch. Then at 10:00, we start the DVD lessons. Afterwards, we have discussion and prayer. You do not have to be a member of

OSL to attend; our meetings are open to the congregation and we welcome you and want to help you in your journey to know the Lord. There is always enough food; you don t have to worry about bringing anything. See you there! National Day of Thursday May 1, 2014 Wherever you are on Thursday, May 1 st, please take time to stop and pray: for the faithfulness of our God, for all of our many blessings, for the Lord s guidance in our lives and in our church, and especially for our nation - its direction, its leadership, and its very core. We may join our brothers and sisters in Rockwall as they are One Voice United in. Community Noontime will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of Rockwall City Hall at 385 South Goliad Street. Evening and Worship will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Harry Meyers Park Amphitheater at 815 East Washington. So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
