Gathering God calls us together to offer praise, acknowledge sin, and celebrate our adoption as forgiven children. Prelude I Shall Not Abandon God Dietrich Buxtehude BuxWV 220 Introit Come, All You People Hymn 388 Choir sings Shona text, then all sing English verses At the sign you may stand. Hymn indicates the red pew hymnal Glory to God. Call to Worship Psalm 147 : 1 At the sign you may stand. Bold text is read or sung in unison. Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God! For God is gracious and a song of praise is fitting. Praise the Lord! Come, let us praise and worship the God of Grace! Opening Hymn The King of Love Hymn 802 Prayer of Confession Eternal God, we confess we have praised you with our lips but not glorified you with our lives. Have mercy on us, we pray, for our weak faith that fades under pressure, for our quick enthusiasm that just as quickly dies, for the hopes we proclaim but do not pursue. Forgive us, Lord God, and give us new trust in your power, that we may live for justice and tell of your loving-kindness by our acts as by our words, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. Assurance of Forgiveness Friends in Christ, hear and believe the good news of the Gospel. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.

Response of Praise Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above Hymn 645 Verse 1 Sing praise to God who reigns above, the God of all creation, the God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation. With healing balm my soul is filled, and every faithless murmur stilled: to God all praise and glory! Words of Welcome Anthem 9:15 Praise, Rejoice and Sing! Allen Pote Sing alleluia, sing to the Lord of love. Sing and be joyful, rejoice in God above. Alleluia, praise. Alleluia, praise his name, who came to earth by human birth to be my guide and friend. I will tell the world the wonder that I know: God s love watches over me wherever I may go. Oh praise, alleluia, praise, rejoice, and sing, for God gives us everything. Proclaiming the Word We encounter the Word in speech and song as we interpret and expound scripture. Time with Children 9:15 Children may leave for Church School classes. Teachers and ushers can assist in finding classrooms. 11:00 Children pre-kindergarten or age four to grade three may leave for Worship Explorers in Room 302. Thanksgiving Sermon Hymn We respond by presenting our offerings, setting the table, lifting prayers, and praising the triune God. Christ for the World We Sing

Offertory I Come with Joy Kenneth Dake, music Brian Wren, text I come with joy, a child of God, forgiven, loved, and free, The life of Jesus to recall, in love laid down for me. I come with Christians far and near to find, as all are fed, The new community of love in Christ s communion bread. And thus we meet, and better know the Presence, ever near, And join our hearts and sing with joy that Christ is risen here. Together met, together bound, in friendship we will stay, And go with joy to love the world and live the way we pray. Sacrament of the Lord s Supper We invite all followers of Jesus Christ to the table. Pass the tray to your neighbor, who will hold it for you as you receive the bread and grape juice. Cups on the bread tray hold gluten-free bread. Invitation Great Prayer of Thanksgiving The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give God thanks and praise. Therefore we join our voices with the communion of saints and the great cloud of witnesses and the whole creation to proclaim the glory of your name. Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory! Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Words of Institution
