Dear Friends, EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD He Is Risen! He Is Truly Risen!! This ancient Easter greeting is the perfect way to begin this week s column. Happy Easter! The spiritual, physical, theological and emotional journey of the Sacred Triduum finds its meaning and fulfillment in the Resurrection of Jesus. We have shared with Him the entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday; we have marveled at the washing of the feet and witnessed His giving of the Eucharist and the Priesthood on Holy Thursday; we contemplated with sadness His death on the cross on Good Friday; we have held our breath during the sleep of death of King Jesus on Holy Saturday. And now today: HE is Risen. I am grateful to all who have participated in the services of Holy Week. I am grateful to all our servers, choirs, lectors, and greeters and those who coordinated their efforts. Thanks in a special way to John Robinson for his leadership on the music front, and to Jeremy Bruns for all his work in the music department as well. And thank you to Judy Beatrice who once again gave so much time and expertise to the enormous behind the scene preparations for these liturgies. Could we all congratulate and keep in our prayers all those who were received into the church at the Easter Vigil? They are smart, faithful and bright examples of the faith. We continue to support them as they carry on in the newly received light of Christ and power of the Holy Spirit. We are grateful to Mr. Bernie Swain for his warmth and care in leading the RCIA process. Remember that the practice of the Church is to treat the entire week after Easter as though it were Easter Sunday!! Rejoice and feast. Easter Sunday, April 1 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM (Note time change), 11:00 AM (Upper Church & Lower Church) and 5:00 PM MASS SCHEDULE TIME CHANGE REMINDER: TIME CHANGE FOR EASTER SUNDAY The 9:30 AM Mass will take place at 9:00 AM. EASTER PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING Good and gracious heavenly Father, we come before you on this Easter Sunday with full and grateful hearts for the gift of the Paschal Mystery that you showed us in the life, death, and resurrection of your Son, our brother by adoption, Jesus Christ. Bless us and all those who profess belief in your saving love. Bless also those who have yet to profess belief in you. You are God for all. We ask all this in Christ's name. Amen 2018 PASCHAL CANDLE HE IS RISEN. HE IS TRULY RISEN!! From Fr. Salzmann and Fr. Murphy and the whole staff at St. Paul s, Happy Easter! Fr.
