Ministry of Reconciliation (MOR) Bible Teachings November 2018 Father, I am so thankful to you for what you accomplished for us through Christ Jesus. I am so thankful to you for all the born again believers who read the Ministry of Reconciliation teaching of your Word every month. I am so thankful for each born again believer standing on your Word. I thank you for their believing, love, and hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen The October teaching focused on Agape/Agapao: A New Way to Love. In it, we learned that we receive God's love and His Spirit with all the power and enablement to prevail! We teach our household and families this new kind of love by our walk of love. God gave us this love, and nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ! All born-again believers every day can renew their minds to experience this new kind of love, which has breadth (that is infinite), length (that is endless), heights (that are immeasurable) and depth (that are unfathomable)! This month's teaching subject is Thankfulness to God and for Each Other. As we have learned this past year, we must manifest the love (agapao) of God in the renewed mind. Agape teaches us to be thankful and loving toward God our Father and each another. We all have weak points in our life, but we all must be thankful for what God has blessed us with through Christ Jesus. Jesus said, This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you (John 15:12). Part of loving one another is giving thanks to God for what He accomplished for us through Christ Jesus. By giving love and thanks to God for each other, we stand on His Word. The love of God in the renewed mind is the catalyst for our thankfulness to God our Father and each other. In our society today, November is the month we celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving for the born-again believers is not an event or special day that we celebrate only once a year, but a way of life. In God s Word, we are thankful always for what God has accomplished for us in Christ Jesus every day. We are thankful for each born again believer s love for God and His Word. Let s us read some scriptures in God s Word on giving thanks to God. In Acts 13:22, we see that David was a man after God s own heart and he gave thanks to God. when he [God] had removed him [Saul], he [God] raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he [God] gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. God s Word says David was a man after God s heart, and he shall fulfil all of God s will. I know I want to live my life after God s own heart and fulfil all of His will that is His Word. Let s read a few of the scriptures on how David gave thanksgiving to God. Psalms 50:14: Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High. Psalms 69:30: I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify him with thanksgiving. Psalms 92:1: It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High. Psalms 100: 4: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him [God] and bless his name. David certainly had an attitude of thanksgiving, praise and thankfulness to God and blessed His name. Attitude is the way we think on a daily basic. We renew our minds to have an attitude of thankfulness for what God our Father has done for us through Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ, our greatness example, gave thanks to God his Father. Let s look at a few of the scriptures regarding his thankfulness. Matthew 15:36: And he took the seven loaves and the fishes and gave thanks. Matthew 26:27: And he took the cup and gave thanks. Luke 22:19: And he took bread and gave thanks. November 2018 2018 www.mor-bible.com contactus@mor-bible.com 2

John 11:41: Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. Jesus Christ had an attitude of thanks for what God his Father did for him. In Matthew 15, Jesus thanked God for multiplying seven loaves and fishes to feed a great multitude. In Matthew 26, Jesus gave thanks to God because his blood of the new testament, would be shed for the remission of sin. And in John 11, Jesus thanked God his Father for hearing his prayer when he raised Lazarus from the dead. God s Word provides numerous examples on giving thanks to God for the believers. Let s look at 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4: We give thanks to God always for you all [born-again believers], making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith [believing], and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. The Apostle Paul, by revelation, Word of knowledge, gave thanks to God for the church of the Thessalonians because of their work of faith (believing), labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of God and our Father. Giving thanks for one another is one way we manifest the renewed mind and demonstrate agape love. I give thanks to God our Father for your work of faith (believing), labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father, knowing brothers and sister s beloved your election of God. I am so thankful to God for you caring out your Ministry of Reconciliation by reading and sharing God s Word of Reconciliation with others. Let s continue with 1 Thessalonians 1:7-8: So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith [believing] to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything. November 2018 2018 www.mor-bible.com contactus@mor-bible.com 3

Having the renewed mind in manifestation, you can sound out the word of the Lord in your homes, in your areas and everywhere you go. By demonstrating agape love for God and for each other, you build the Word of God in your hearts and shine God s light in this world. 1 Thessalonians 2:12-13 tells us that to demonstrate this agape love and thankfulness we are to walk worthy of God: That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received (unto you) the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. I am so thankful to God that you walk worthy of God, who has [past tense] called you to his kingdom and glory. I thank God for you all, since, you received the Word of God. How did you receive this Word? You received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe. You received God s Word, you retained it, you released it with boldness, acted on it and brought it into manifestation through your actions. I love you and I am so thankful to God for you all! Let s turn to Colossians 1:9-10 for another series of examples of how to manifest thankfulness for each other. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in [by] the knowledge of God. I thank God our Father, that you are filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I thank God our Father for each of you, as you walk worthy of the Lord. I thank God that you are fruitful in every good work, and that you are increasing in the knowledge of God s Word. November 2018 2018 www.mor-bible.com contactus@mor-bible.com 4

Colossians 1:12-14 gives us more reasons to be thankful: Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet [adequate] to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath [past tense] delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated (give us citizenship by the work of His son) us into the kingdom of his [God s Kingdom, by works of His] dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness [remission] of sins. I am so thankful to God our Father who has made us adequate to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. I am so thankful that no one or anything can take away our inheritance! I am so thankful to God who has delivered us from the power of darkness and has given us citizenship in His Kingdom by the works of His son, the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 2:12). By keeping a mindset of thankfulness, we can act from a renewed mind knowing what God has already done for us through His son who humbled himself and was obedient unto death. Through God s only begotten son, we have redemption and remission of sins. Turn to Romans 1:8-9 tells us how to be thankful in our prayers: First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith [believing] is spoken of throughout the whole world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers. I am so thankful to God our Father for your believing and acting upon God s Word. I make mention of you always in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16 repeats these instructions: Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayer. November 2018 2018 www.mor-bible.com contactus@mor-bible.com 5

I continually give thanks to God for you all, making mention of you in my prayers. I thank God that He would give you understanding of His Word and that you may know what power and authority we have in the name of His son the Lord Jesus Christ! Ephesians 5:20 tells us the magnitude of our thankfulness should take: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks always for all things to God our Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Does God s Word tell us to give thanks sometimes? NO! We are to give thanks ALWAYS. Are we to give thanks for some things? No! We are to give thanks for ALL things. I give thanks to God our Father for you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We can bless and give thanks to God our Father spiritually as well. God s gift of holy spirit has nine manifestations (see 1 Corinthians 12:7-11). One of these manifestations of thankfulness is speaking in tongues. Turn to 1 Corinthians 14:2, 16,17: For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understand him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries [divine secrets]. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupied the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understand not what thou say? For thou verily give thanks well. Every time I speak in tongues I speak to God. If you want to speak to God, speak in tongues! It s perfect communication with God our Father. Speaking in tongues is how we spiritually bless and give thanks to God our Father! It s the only manifestation that builds up our spirit (1 Corinthians 14:4). We read several scriptures in God s Word on giving thanks to God. We renewed our minds to have an attitude of thankfulness for what God our Father has done for us through Christ Jesus. We read how Jesus Christ, our greatness example, gave thanks to God his Father. We saw Jesus Christ had an attitude of thankfulness for what God his Father did for him. We also read scriptures in God s Word on giving thanks to God for the believers. By being thankful to God and for each other, we renew our minds and November 2018 2018 www.mor-bible.com contactus@mor-bible.com 6

demonstrate agape. We continually demonstrate God s love and our thankfulness in all we do and say and become examples to others. I give thanks to God our Father for your work of believing, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father, knowing brothers and sister s beloved your election of God. I am so thankful to God for you caring out your Ministry of Reconciliation by reading and sharing God s Word of Reconciliation with others. Father, I am so thankful for each born again believer that receives your Word with all readiness of mind. I am thankful for those believers who search the scriptures daily to see whether those things written on this website are the Word of God. Father, I am so thankful that when we believe your Word and act on it, you confirm your Word with signs, miracles and wonders. I give thanks to you Father, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen Next month s teaching: The love (agapao) of God in the renewed mind - Masters of God s Word.
