the e-tablet All Saints Anglican Church Attleboro, MA 508-222-2640 allsaintsacna.org Craig Vickerman Ordained and Installed at All Saints Attleboro The Anglican Diocese in New England Written by The Anglican Diocese in New England On Saturday, September 23, Bishop Bill Murdoch ordained The Rev. Craig Vickerman to the priesthood at All Saints Anglican Church, Attleboro. Fr. Craig was also officially installed as the new rector of All Saints, where he has been serving over the past year. The ceremony was well attended, with parishioners, friends, and family present to celebrate together. The worship band played contemporary music, and combined with the liturgy, readers, and Bishop Bill s sermon, made for a varied and full service that displayed the sobriety of the call to priesthood, the Church s joy and expectation moving forward in unity, and the love that the Vickermans have already received in their new spiritual home. There was also a presentation by the congregation s youth, where they honored Fr. Craig for the time he has invested in them and the work he has done with them over the past year. After twenty years of youth ministry in various states, Fr. Craig recently graduated with his Masters of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. The All Saints community have welcomed him and his whole family, expressing confidence that his collaborative leadership style will revitalize their individual and collective passion to follow Jesus and live out the Gospel. His youthful exuberance and shepherd s heart are what they have been looking for to guide them to greater kingdom living and equip them for the good work that God has set before them. 2 of 8 Please keep the Vickerman family in your prayers, along with the All Saints Attleboro community, as they move through this transition into the next chapter of their common life.

That work is now well under way. Congregations and clergy have received a copy of the Standing Committee s letter regarding this announcement, a set of Frequently Asked Questions, and information on changes to the ADNE Canons regarding our episcopal election process. These documents can be found below, along with a general calendar outlining important dates. We are currently nominating potential members for the Committee on Nominations for Bishop (CNB), who will take the lead in writing the diocesan profiles, vetting all names that are received by our congregations, interviewing candidates, and forming a final list of nominees for an election at Synod 2018. Tablet All Saints Anglican Church Attleboro, MA 508-222-2640 allsaintsacna.org the e- 6 of 8 Junior Warden Update Update for September I believe that God has given us the Holy Spirit to lead us through this exciting time in His church here in Attleboro. If we will stop and listen to his voice we will have the assurance that God s plan is always best as we work together. The lift project is certainly an example of working together for the last few years with Mike Louis being the lead person in this involved process. Mike is aiming to have the lift operational by 9/23/17 however is at the mercy of outside inspectors. What an amazing addition to the church. Tracy Merigold recruited a crew of volunteers to clean and help Annie Hansen who has had the monster job of keeping the church presentable during the construction. Ray Merigold has worked on hammering any protruding nails in the pews. This was brought to my attention by a parish member. Mike Louis has sealed the crack in the walk with new cement and Lloyd Benson has painted the grating orange to urge caution while walking in. This was also brought to my attention by a parish member. Please watch your step. Ray Lumnah has been busy but assures me that he has plans to fix the ceiling over the stair well by 9/23/17. We are also in discussion over the exterior handrails leading up the front main stair case. I have had various plumbing people give me a couple of options for bringing hot water to the little sink off the parish hall so that is still in process. I have also had various estimates on the roof repair (shingles have come off) that too is under advisement. Our snow plow person is also a landscaper (Holden s Landscaping) we (vestry) are in conversation on bringing drainage issues along with grading and bringing a green lawn to the front of the church. Thank you for all your cooperation and working together. Carol Leonard October Lift / Ramp Update
the e-tablet All Saints Anglican Church Attleboro, MA 508-222-2640 allsaintsacna.org I would like to thank the vestry and members of All Saints for their wonderful gift of love to Jackie and me. I pray for you all and have missed each of you so much. I was very excited when I learned Craig would be interviewing for the position of rector, and even more excited when he was selected. Craig is an ardent Christian and I believe, possesses the leadership skills needed at this time to bring our church into a new era. The founding of All Saints Anglican remains one of the proudest moments of my priesthood and is, without exception, the most difficult task given me by our Lord. So much sacrifice was needed by so many but each and every one of you who remains are fighting the good fight. The community still does not understand our motivation for separating from TEC, and we are still mischaracterized by the media. But we know, and Jesus knows. And it is Jesus who will be our judge. I encourage you to remain steadfast in the faith and charitable toward one another. I have offered Craig whatever support I can give, and I look forward to seeing all of you at his ordination and installation. God bless. You are forever in my heart and prayers. Fr Lance 7 of 8
