GOALS: Comprehension To increase your knowledge of English Bible in Job-Song of Songs. To increase your knowledge of introductory issues in each book from Job- Song of Songs. Competence To sharpen your ability to interpret Job-Song of Songs in their historical, theological, and literary contexts. To sharpen your ability to apply the teaching of Job-Song of Songs in your own life and in the life of the local church. Character To grow in your honesty in your relation with God, others, and self. LECTURES See Class Schedule PSALM 23 PROJECT You will write a paper on Psalm 23. Your research will follow the steps laid out in chapter 5 of Interpreting the Psalms. Your paper will follow the model set out in chapter 6 of Interpreting the Psalms. You may write up to 10 double-spaced pages with 1 inch margins on all sides and using a 12 point font. Your paper will be submitted electronically and is due on Friday, December 16, at 4p. ASSESSMENTS Psalm 23 Project: 50 points. Grading criteria: content, clarity, conformity (to the model set out in chapter 6 of Interpreting the Psalms). Final exam: 50 points.
