GATHERING WITH PRAISE PRELUDE Nancy DeKraay FIRST THOUGHT Jesus is the one who came to reveal God. When you think of it that way, the gospel becomes a rather beautiful and comforting story, because this man, Jesus, was so caring and gentle, going around teaching and preaching and healing. He was a blessing to everybody he met, regardless of who they were. So we can say to ourselves, This is the way God is; not cruel and judging and harsh, but caring and lifting and loving. As we look to the new session of Sunday School, we are looking for volunteers to teach our children. If you are interested and can help out, please contact Pastor Gillian. Also, do you know of a 3 or 4 year old child that will be attending Sunday School this Fall? We are in need of a head count for the School Kaleidoscope Program. We would like to schedule teachers for Kaleidoscope, but will only staff this classroom if we have children to participate. The Memorial Committee oversees funds that are donated in honor of or in memory of church members. The Committee directs those funds toward projects that enhance the beauty and historical value of the Church, contribute to the mission and programs of the Church, and respect the memory of the people for whom the money was donated.
