Welcoming Bishop Wm. Anderson Bishop Charlie Masters has just welcomed Bishop William Anderson and his wife Margaret into the Anglican Network in Canada. They continue to reside in Terrace, in Northern British Columbia. Bishop Bill has recently retired as Bishop of Caledonia. He has relinquished the exercise of ministry in the Anglican Church of Canada as of November 16, 2017. As a retired bishop in ANiC, he will be given a General Permission from Bishop Charlie to exercise all the priestly functions such as preaching, teaching, and celebrating communion. Bishop Charlie stated, "We are delighted to welcome such a godly orthodox bishop into our midst. His partnership in the Gospel, his supportive friendship, and his many years of experience in Christian service, will be a blessing to the future of the Anglican Network." Christmas Pageant Practices for the Christmas Pageant will begin this morning. If you would like your child to take part, they need to be present at Sunday School -Nov 26, Dec 3, and Dec 10. The pageant is scheduled for Sunday morning Dec 17.
CHRIST THE KING SUNDAY As the last Sunday of the Christian Church Year, Christ the King Sunday is the climax and conclusion of the Church s liturgical journey through the life of Christ and the Gospel message. Its purpose is to celebrate the coming reign of Christ as King of the Earth and his completion of the renewed creation that marks the fullness of the Kingdom of God. That hope is born from the entire life of Christ and his teachings that have been celebrated in the seasons of the Church Year during the past twelve months. This Feast also provides an appropriate bridge to the new Church Year that begins next Sunday - the first Sunday of Advent. Guatemala Mission Trip 2019 March 8-16, 2019 Although it sounds a long way away, applications for our next Mission Trip to Guatemala will be available next Sunday. We have decided to get applications out sooner based on the feedback after our last mission trip. There will also be a couple of evening gatherings for people who are interested to get the facts before they apply. Completed applications need to be given to Father Darrell by Ash Wednesday, (Feb 14, 2018) and the team will be selected and announced Easter Day (April 1, 2018). After consultation with Mother Marilyn and Bishop Harvey, I am pleased that Paul and Kerry Critch have agreed to serve as team leaders. Please pray earnestly about your part in Guatemala 2019. To those whom much is give - much will be required!
