Parish Trades and Stewardship Registry Saints Peter & Paul Church occasionally needs projects done, or help around the church. The Administrative Committee is looking to compile a current list of parishioners, with or without businesses, who would be willing to work for the parish. We would simply like to offer our parishioners a chance to assist us, before reaching out to the general public. These projects are sometimes small, and casual in nature, (like changing light bulbs, or help to clean a storage closet), and some projects are large, requiring more professional skills (like a licensed plumber or electrician etc.) One of our current projects requires changing light bulbs and ballasts in the parking lot, as well as replacing some exterior light fixtures. Product and technical skills are necessary for this job. Please contact us by filling out a simple contact form at the back of the church or by reaching myself at 306-361-9727 or email o.o@sasktel.net Thank you, Taras Nahachewsky, Administrative Chair, Parish Council Pre-Authorized Donation Program Pre-authorized monthly contributions are a valuable way to help our parish reduce administration and allows us to plan for the future. Giving monthly by direct debit is easy and convenient, and replaces your white envelopes. Simply fill out a form available on the tables at the entrance of the church and drop it, along with your void cheque, in the contribution basket. Little donation cards (in two little baskets) are also available as you enter the church that can be used to drop into the contribution basket indicating your pre-authorized debit contribution. For any questions or to sign up through the office, call 306 343 6516 or email sspp@sasktel.net Please note: Pre-Authorized Debit will be available for regular contributions only (white envelopes in your box of church envelopes). For all the other colored envelopes such as special collections, flowers, clergy offering please continue to use those envelopes when making your contribution. Thank you for your consideration! Theresa Special Collection: Holy Spirit Seminary (October 2017) This special collection is for Holy Spirit Seminary. Holy Spirit is the Major Seminary of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada. Its primary purpose is the preparation of candidates for ordination to the priesthood in the Catholic Church. To contribute, please use your yellow Seminary Offering envelope.

October 28, 2017 Sisters and Brothers in Christ, At the back of the church, you will find an envelope marked Redemptorist Solidarity Fund. I ask you to use this donation envelope to help with the world-wide Redemptorist mission. Redemptorists serve God s people in over 70 countries around the world; many of these are the poorest of the poor. Every six years, Redemptorists in leadership from around the world gather as a decision-making body called a General Chapter; the delegates to 25 th General Chapter in 2016 in Pattaya, Thailand decided that an annual collection will take place in every public Redemptorist place of worship to strengthen the Solidarity Fund. So, now in the fall of 2017 we undertake the first annual collection for the Solidarity Fund. The official date for this collection in the Ukrainian Redemptorist parishes is November 5 th, but we are providing you with information and the envelopes this weekend so you can prayerfully consider your donation to this Fund. What is the Redemptorist Solidarity Fund? It is an instrument of the Redemptorist General Government to offer financial assistance to Redemptorists throughout the world for their mission to the poor and the most abandoned. The priorities of this Fund are the following: 1) Emergency situations such as the hurricanes that ravaged the Caribbean where we have many houses; Redemptorist communities in Dominica and St. Thomas and St. Croix suffered extensive damage from the hurricanes. 2) Formation and Training of Redemptorist students especially when students come together to study from different parts of the world; and 3) New pastoral initiatives, especially when Redemptorists from different parts of the world come to minister together. Requests for urgent needs that are made to the Redemptorist Solitary Fund each year double and triple the amount of money available. Because of this, it is necessary to make an annual distribution according to the economic means available each year. May God bless you as you assist we Redemptorists in our call to be witnesses of the Redeemer, in solidarity for mission to a wounded world. Yours in Christ, our Redeemer, Fr.
