C h u r c h L i f e U p d a t e Cookie Blitz On Sunday, March 26, Calvary will bless our community by providing an unexpected gift of sweet treats. On that day, worshipers are asked to bring homemade cookies and brownies to church. These goodies will be wrapped during the traditional service; and then after worship everyone who s willing will get to help us be a blessing by delivering the cookies to homebound members, first responders, and local businesses. Please plan to do some baking and some delivering as we share the love that we ve been given in Christ. American Heart Association CPR & AED training will be offered free to church members & staff on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Please call the church office to register or contact Danny Lineberry at 336-745-1320 for more information. Passover Seder: On Saturday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m., Calvary will partner with Ekklesia a church in Pilot Mountain to offer a Passover Seder. We will be led in the Seder by Rabbi Ted Simon a Jewish believer in Christ who will teach us how this holy celebration prepares the way for and deepens our understanding of the sacrifice of Jesus. The cost for the meal is $8 per person. The deadline to register is Sunday, March 26. Road to Resurrection: Hey Kids! Please join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 for Road to Resurrection! Children (K to Grade 5) along with their parents are encouraged to be a part of this special event that allows us to experience what Easter is all about. Journey with us as we travel with Jesus and learn about the events leading up to his resurrection. A snack supper will be served, and all the kids will receive a treat bag along with special mementos of the true meaning of Easter. Guests are welcome so invite your friends! Your Contact Info Requested: We are currently updating our database so that we can communicate effectively with our church family. Using your bulletin tear-off, please give us your contact information, check your preferred method of contact, and drop it in the offering plate. Easter Offering: Calvary is now collecting our Easter Missions Offering for 2017. Our goal this year is $3,000 and you can designate your gift for the Annie Armstrong Offering of the SBC, the Global Missions Offering of the CBF, or for Andy and Cari Robertson our own missionaries to Chad. The Risen Lord calls us to make disciples of all nations. Please help us share His Good News with those who need to hear. Today s lovely flowers have been placed in honor of Miss Cassidy Mills for her 10th birthday by Ashley & Corey Mills.
