Pastors Licensed Lamar Miller & Ashley Litwiller Pulpit Exchange It s time to start collecting snack items, gift cards, or other items that you would like to bless our six AMC college students with. Please place your donations in the tub in the foyer by the middle of February. Thanks! To continue raising funds for the youth group s 2016 Mission Trip to work with DOOR in Denver, CO, the youth are once again selling Super Bowl Subs. They will be in the foyer a few Sundays in January and the final day to buy is Jan. 31st. Find a youth ASAP to reserve your grub for Super Bowl Sunday! This past week Illinois Mennonite Conference licensed Ashley Litwiller towards ordination and reinstated the license for Lamar Miller for specific ministry. In the near future conference minister Michael Danner will come to AMC to have a formal ceremony for this. A week of prayer for Christian Unity around the world will be observed from January 18-24. The Arthur Ministerial Association is encouraging churches in the area to pray for and work at Christian unity. The pastors of some of the local churches will be participating in a pulpit exchange next Sunday, Jan. 24th. Glen Rhodes will be preaching at Zion United Church of Christ that Sunday and John Stewart from Arthur First Baptist Church will be preaching here. Keeping Up with AMC New carpet is going to be laid in the nursery soon. Until then, the nursery will be in Room 1 during worship. The AMC Youth Group is at Camp Menno Haven this weekend for Winter Retreat. They will return this afternoon. The Community Life Commission has been busy planning for the upcoming Cruise Night to Paris which will be Saturday, Feb. 13th at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Because there are only a certain number of seats, there is also a sign up sheet for potential guests who are not regular attendees at AMC. The Ministry Team and Worship Commission have decided to stop serving grapes and crackers for children during communion. They encourage parents to talk with their children about why we observe communion as baptized believers and what it means. The Outcry Worship/Music tour will be coming to Indianapolis on Saturday night, April 9th featuring Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Elevation Worship, Kari Jobe, and more. Brian Houston from Hillsong Church in Australia will bring a message. If you would like to go with a group of AMCer s to this concert, sign up on the CL board soon. Tickets will be around $30 each.
