JUNE 11-21, 2016 To expose OHAC attendees to the mission of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, to bond them with the heart of specific work in Guadalajara, to encourage our team of international workers, to connect with Mexican believers, and to see and minister to the needs of the people of Mexico. SYNOPSIS & PRAYER GUIDE Where? Guadalajara, Mexico a city of 5 million people in southwestern Mexico. When? Saturday, June 11, through Tuesday, June 21. This includes out two travel days to arrive in Guadalajara (June 11) and return to Pittsburgh (June 21), 8 days of ministry (June 12-19), and a day of rest and reflection (June 20). What? Because of the growth at the Breath of Life church plant and the changes that accompany it, our project focuses may alter as we near our departure. Tentative plans would be to spend weekends in Guadalajara building relationships and worshipping with C&MA International Workers (IWs) and Mexican believers. During the week we would be in San Marcos, a small village two hours west of Guadalajara, to assist with light construction projects at the church there, interact with Mexican orphans under their care (Face of the Father Home for Children), and present Bible lessons in their community and neighboring ones. Who? You! How does God want you to be involved in this journey? Could He be calling you to put your feet on the ground in Guadalajara and to use your hands to physically impact the people of this land with the love of Christ? If you say yes, not only will you have the chance to humbly minister in the name of Jesus, but God will be working in your heart revealing His love for the nations, increasing your passion for the lost at home and around the globe, and forging life-long bonds with the International Workers we send out and Mexican believers seeking to reach their neighbors. The trip is open to students in Junior High (with parents permission and most likely participation) through adults. We are assembling an intergenerational team. Through our partnership with the ministries in Guadalajara, Mexico, you will enjoy meeting Five C&MA International Worker couples: Tim & Janice Greenfield City Team Leaders and Breath of Life Core Team Members; Depart for Home Assignment in June 2016 Bob & Cheryl Fugate Breath of Life C&MA John & Cathy Howard Strong Tower C&MA; on Home Assignment in Mars, PA, through June 2015 Dan & Amber Marcello Prince of Peace C&MA Steve & Deb Zophi Strong Tower C&MA; Seminary; retiring in 2016

Looking for two additional couples to join them pray for God to direct His people to this ministry could He be calling you? Breath of Life Core Team couples: Bob & Cheryl Fugate, Tim & Janice Greenfield, Sergio & Nielle (David & Isaac), Lalo & Sarah (Nathan), Arturo & Roxanna Others: Frank Diaz (Pastor of Prince of Peace C&MA), William & Katie Cook (Face of the Father Children s Home & Pastor at San Marcos C&MA) Why? How? To be exposed to the mission of the Christian & Missionary Alliance specifically in Guadalajara, Mexico, but also around the world To encourage our team of International Workers the workers that you and I support through our Great Commission Giving To connect with Mexican believers to encourage them and these friendships expand your horizon as you receive prayer requests from our IWs or receive prayer letters and say, Hey, I know that person! To see and minister to the needs of the people of Mexico How can I be praying? How can I be partnering? How can I be supporting? How can I use my S.H.A.P.E. to further the work of the Kingdom of God? For your heart to be forever pricked by God s heart for the lost of this world By raising an estimate $2,000 to cover your airfare/travel insurance, ground transportation in Mexico, lodging, and in-country meals. To make it easier on you but also to ensure that money is available as needed to plan the trip, a budgeted payment plan will be set up. Our largest expense will be the airfare/trip insurance and that will be done February-March 2016. Fundraising opportunities will be planned, a personal prayer/finance letter will be developed to share with family and friends outside of OHAC, an Approved Special for Guadalajara 2016 has been set up for OHAC attendees to give to through the offering plate, and the remainder of the funds necessary to go will need to come out-of-pocket. You will need to acquire a U.S. Passport to travel to Mexico if you do not have one, begin the process of getting one. This is not a part of the estimated $2,000 above. You will also need money for eating meals on our two travel days and to purchase any souvenirs from our experience. We will be flying into and out of Guadalajara and renting vehicles to move about during our stay. Being a part of the Guadalajara 2016 team is a commitment that will require your focus, time, and energy to prepare your heart and build team unity. As such, there will be at least six required team meetings leading up to our experience in Mexico. Tentative dates for these meetings are Sundays November 8, December 6, January 31, March 6, April 24, and June 5. Should they be necessary, additional dates will be scheduled. Registration Deadline --- Sunday. November 1 Thank you for your prayerful consideration of being a part of Guadalajara 2016. The attached application forms need to be completed and submitted with a $150.00 non-refundable deposit for your considered involvement in this missions experience. Checks can be made out to OHAC Uth with Guadalajara 2016 in the memo and will be put into your individual account. Your application will be followed up with an interview and reference check. Are you ready for what God has in store for you?

JUNE 11-21, 2016 To expose OHAC attendees to the mission of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, to bond them with the heart of specific work in Guadalajara, to encourage our team of international workers, to connect with Mexican believers, and to see and minister to the needs of the people of Mexico. EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS You have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You want to serve others and are open to God using this trip to shape you. You have prayerfully considered attending this trip understanding that a trip of this nature will be stressful, physically demanding, and mentally stretching. You have also considered your personal life and are willing to forsake distractions that would prohibit you from fully committing to the mission of this experience. You are willing to be uncomfortable. You are willing to hold babies, play with children, visit with elderly, interact with the poor, rub shoulders with the unclean, work hard, move, lift, be involved, and be hot and dirty at the end of each day. You understand that what you see and what you experience can change your life forever. You are responsible to submit a $150 non-refundable deposit with the Guadalajara 2016 application by Sunday, November 1. You are responsible to raise the funds necessary to participate in Guadalajara 2016. The estimated cost of the trip is $2000, which covers you airfare/travel insurance, ground transportation in Mexico, lodging, and in-country meals. Additional funds will be needed to acquire a passport, eat travel meals, and to purchase souvenirs or gifts. If you are unable to participate in Guadalajara 2016 for any reason, please notify Pastor Nathan of this cancellation as soon as possible. You may be responsible for all trip costs. You are expected to attend all planning, training, and follow up meetings related to Guadalajara 2016. Some of those training dates are on the following Sunday evenings: November 8, December 6, January 31, March 6, April 24, and June 5. You will be asked to share about your experiences in different forums when Guadalajara 2016 is complete (i.e. worship services, special meetings, in children and youth forums, etc.). TEAM COVENANT As a member of this team, I understand and agree to 1) Remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit s leading. 2) Remember that I am representing Jesus Christ as well as Oak Hill Alliance Church to a lost and dying world that needs a Savior. I will model Christ in my behavior, attitudes, and actions. 3) Remember that I am a guest working at the invitation of the ministry host sites. I will honor them and remember that my actions make an impact on their ministry opportunities both for the furtherance of their ministry and their detriment. 4) Remember that I have come to learn and be open to learning about other people s methods, ideas, and culture. 1

5) Develop and maintain a servant attitude toward my teammates and leaders, ministry sites and coordinators, and the community around me and to extend the grace of God when there are differences between us. 6) Respect my team leader(s) and their decisions. 7) Refrain from gossip and not be exclusive in my friendships. Instead, I will come with a desire to learn new things about my teammates and leaders. I will do my best to spend time with each member of the team. 8) Refrain from complaining. I come with the understanding that travel can present numerous unexpected and undesired circumstances, but that the rewards of conquering such circumstances are immeasurable. Rather than complaining, I will be flexible, creative, and supportive. 9) Refrain from bringing alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, and other harmful substances and objects. 10) Remember that I can be sent home if I do not adhere to this Team Covenant or if my team leaders believe it is in my best interest or that of the team.
