THE STONE: I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE SOWING THE WORD OF GOD SUNDAY, MARCH 6, 2016 Daniel 2:34,44-45 34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven 1
will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure. In the book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar s dream revealed that the manmade powers, authorities and kings would all be destroyed by the stone that was cut out from the mountain without hands. As we can see from this Scripture in Daniel, Mountains represent kingdoms. We know from Scripture that Messiah is the Stone that was rejected by men (Psalm 118:22, Isaiah 8:14-15, 28:16, Luke 20:17-18, Romans 9:33, etc.) Acts 4:10-11 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Yehoshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The mountain, or Kingdom, that Messiah was cut from was the Kingdom Heaven where our Heavenly Father rules. The one and only true authority, and that is what 2
makes what I am about to share so amazing. This is something we could never see in a translation, but something that can only be seen in the Hebrew language of God. The Hebrew word for stone is pronounced ehben. It is made up of the letters Aleph, Beyt, Nun and looks like.אבן this: The Hebrew word for Father is pronounced Av and is made up of the letters Aleph and Beyt.אב These are also the first two letters of the word stone or ehben. The Hebrew word for Son is pronounced Ben and is made up of the letters Ben and Nun.בן These are the last two letters of the word stone or ehben. The Hebrew word for Stone is literally made up of the Hebrew words for Father and Son, and joined in the middle is the letter Beyt,ב which represents a house. In fact, the Hebrew word Beyt is house. For example: the word Bethlehem pronounced Beytlechem in Hebrew, means House of Bread. So the Stone that the builders rejected is the Father AND the Son who share a House, a House called Israel. Jeremiah 31:33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house (beyt) of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. So why is this Stone a Stone of stumbling? 3
Isaiah 8:13-16 The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread. He will be as a sanctuary, But a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense To both the houses of Israel, As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble; They shall fall and be broken, Be snared and taken. Bind up the testimony, Seal the law (Torah) among my disciples. The House of Israel was divided after King Solomon s reign. They divided into the house of Judah and the house of Ephraim (Ephraim is also referred to as Joseph or Israel in Scripture.) We can still see this divided house today. The house of Judah are Jewish people and the house of Ephraim are Christians. Jews who do not know Messiah stumble over the Son because they do not believe Yehoshua (Jesus) is the Messiah. Christians, who do not know they are Israel calling themselves Gentiles, believe the Law (Torah) was done away with. They stumble over the Father because they do not keep the commands found in the Torah. Therefore, just as Isaiah prophesied, this Stone is a Stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both houses until they learn to come together as one. 1 Peter 2:4-8 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by 4
men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Yehoshua Messiah (Jesus Christ.) Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone, and A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense. They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. They stumble being disobedient to the word which they were appointed... Psalm 119:165 Great peace have those who love Your law (Torah), And nothing causes them to stumble. The Father and the Son are One. John 10:22-30 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Yehoshua (Jesus) walked in the temple, in Solomon s porch. Then the Jews surrounded Him and 5
said to Him, How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly. Yehoshua answered them, I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father s hand. I and My Father are one. If we deny the Father s commands, we do not know the Son. 1 John 2:3-7 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. And if we deny the Son, we do not have the Father. 1 John 2:22-25 Who is a liar but he who denies that Yehoshua (Jesus) is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the 6
Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us eternal life. Messiah said: John 17:20-21 I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. The day is coming when the House of Judah and the House of Ephraim will be joined as One House with the Father and with the Son. Ezekiel 37:15-19 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions. Then take another stick and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions. Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand. And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, Will you not show us what you mean by these? say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in 7
the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand. 8
