We meet every Monday night from 7:00 8:30 in our chapel. It is a casual group that continues to explore what it means to be a Christian man today. We ve decided to use the Alpha curriculum for the next two months. So, whether you ve participated in Alpha previously OR this would be your first time, we would love to have you join us for the whole program or just come to try it out. TESTIMONIES OF FAITH: VOICES OF APPALACHIA Talk by Linda Hartley Monday Feb 13, 7PM in the Chapel Come join our Pastoral Associate, Linda Hartley, for a presentation and conversation about the people and faith practices of the Northern Highlands of Appalachia. Linda traveled to North Carolina in January for a seminary course at Andover Newton Theological School. She will talk about the role of personal testimony both in the faith traditions of Appalachia and in contemporary communities of faith. This event will be about one hour in length including time for questions. Please come! MISSION OF THE MONTH Our Mission of the Month for February is Celebrating our church's support for Heartline Ministries in Haiti. We'll have info on the Mission table and we ll be looking forward to the group's sharing with the congregation after they return from the trip in March. Our Haiti missionaries are going Mar 1-10 th. YOUTH GROUP MISSION TRIP As most of you are aware, the Youth Group is in the midst of planning a mission trip to St. Vincent. Wendy has set up a couple ways to donate money for the trip. PRAYER TIME CARDS We are encouraging people to speak to a pastor upstairs before the service if you want a prayer lifted up on Sunday morning, or you can fill out a blue card (located at a table near the front entrance, outside the sanctuary and in the pews) and give it to a Deacon, Thanks! DISMAS HOUSE Our church goes on the first Thursday of the month to cook and serve a meal with the people of Dismas House, a home for ex-prisoners.
