Approximate population: 7 million Unchurched/spiritually lost: 4 million Total households: 3 million Approximately 80% of the population of most counties in Tennessee will not worship in any church this Sunday 40-60% of Tennesseans classified themselves as unclaimed (not part of any religion) I CAN T FIND MY WAY. 2017 baptisms: 20,700 (projected 2017 ACP total; 2% increase over 2016 ACP) We know it is Jesus who changes people s hearts, but you and your church make a difference because you carry His gospel and His compassion to a hurting world just steps from your door. Do you see opportunities...to change Tennessee?...to change your world?

Now that you ve seen Tennessee, will you watch or will you reach? Colossians 4:17 See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord. Colossians 4:17? The good news you re not alone.

+ To be a part of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board means you and your church are part of a network of more than 3,000 churches working cooperatively to reach Tennessee, reach the nations, and change the world for the glory of Jesus Christ. Through Cooperative Program giving, the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions, and the ministries of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, Tennessee Baptists are seizing opportunities to make Christ known and to show compassion to hurting people. How? Through our network of Tennessee Baptist Churches. =

So why do we work together? It would be impossible for most churches to participate in an Acts 1:8 missions strategy alone. Financial resources simply don t stretch that far. However, joining our resources together through the Cooperative Program, Tennessee Baptist Churches are literally facilitating missions in Tennessee, North America and around the world. We really can do more together.

We do missions t What is the Cooperative Program? The Cooperative Program is how Southern Baptists financially work together in Great Commission work. Churches give a percentage of their undesignated financial receipts through the Tennessee Baptist Convention in support of a broad range of missions and ministry opportunities across Tennessee, North America, and around the world. Seriously, we re talking hundreds of millions of dollars annually working together to multiply missions to reach people for Christ. Y

s together through Cooperative Program giving. What is the benefit for your church? By being connected to thousands of other Tennessee Baptist churches, your church is connected to a network of biblically likeminded believers and has access to a variety of resources to help strengthen your church to fulfill its Great Commission calling. How is your Cooperative Program giving multiplied? As your church gives, a portion of your Cooperative Program offering remains in Tennessee to support work with Tennessee Baptist Churches. The remainder is forwarded to the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee where it is divided among the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, six Southern Baptist seminaries, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief and the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission. We also do missions together through the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions. Every dollar received through GOTM 100 percent stays in Tennessee to support church planting, compassion ministries, discipleship, literacy ministries and other mission opportunities directly related to reaching Tennessee for Christ. For nearly 100 years, GOTM has been a vital resource that supports missions in Tennessee in ways the Cooperative Program does not.

What is it we are trying to do together? Tennessee Baptists agreed at our 2014 SUMMIT that we wanted to see God s Spirit move in such a way that it changes our spiritual reality. But it is one thing to say and quite another to do, to complete the ministry [we] have received from the Lord (Col. 4:17). Tennessee Baptists affirmed the Five Objectives to make sure we stay on task. One Vision, FIVE OBJECTIVES As Tennessee Baptists, we are engaging in Great Commission ministry resulting in: 1. Seeing at least 50,000 Tennesseans annually saved, baptized and set on the road to discipleship by 2024 2. Having at least 500 Tennessee Baptist churches revitalized by 2024 3. Planting and strategically engaging at least 1,000 new churches by 2024 4. Realizing an increase in annual local church giving through the Cooperative Program that reaches at least 10 percent by 2024 5. Realizing an increase in annual giving for the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions that reaches at least $3 million by 2024 Big objectives requiring big faith mixed with a big effort, but we are confident in a Big God.
