ANNUAL REPORT 2012 Lead Pastor's Report An annual report presented by the Lead Pastor to the membership of Bethel Pentecostal Church during the annual business meeting on February 19th, 2013. This report includes an overview of 2012: ministry activities and passion, office management, pastoral team overview, financial overview, ministry highlights, and vision. Pastor Andrew Holm, Lead Pastor 2/19/2013

ANNUAL REPORT 2012 Lead Pastor's Report Bethel Pentecostal Church is an assembly operating as a part of God's kingdom. The kingdom is made up of faithful believers and followers of Christ; the kind of people who encompass this assembly. As we follow, we engage in a spiritual journey - the journey of this assembly. Like any journey, there are many key roles and components which are needed for it to be safe and successful. As an Assembly of God's kingdom, we have the responsibility of ensuring those roles and components are carried out to the best of our ability. Let the journey begin. AS YOUR LEAD PASTOR This is my first report as your Lead Pastor and I would like to thank the board, membership, and otherwise congregation for your continued prayer and support. Pastor Deidre and I have truly felt welcomed and a part of the Bethel family. Since our arrival in September 2012, I have had the privilege to dedicate a baby, aid in pastoral care, and start building relationships with many people connected to our assembly. PASSION FOR MINISTRY To lead this assembly requires passion, humility, and wisdom. At no point along the journey, however, does one fully attain such requirements. The goal however, as Joshua challenged, is to simply "serve the Lord." 1 Therefore, we are followers before leaders and mentorees before mentors. As your Lead Pastor, my passion is to first, be a follower of the Lord, and second, lead this assembly along a journey as I do so. Let's continue to worship and serve the Lord as we love and serve in our assembly and community. PASTORAL TEAM I am very grateful to have my wife pastor with me. Shortly after we stated ministry at Bethel, the board asked Pastor Deidre to come on staff to help with Church 1 Joshua 24:15 1

Ministries on a part-time basis. I am proud to say, she is my better half and contributes a unique and high-energy style of leadership to our mid-week ministries. With her help, we are able to give due attention to the many growing ministries of this assembly such as NKK, LNC and Youth. The journey ahead seems very promising. CHURCH MINISTRIES Our Pastoral Team can move ministry forward; however, it is only on the shoulders of church volunteers, can church ministries flourish. The journey forward requires a team of humble servants who are willing to spread the love of God no matter the cost. Pastor Deidre and I must take the lead; members of this assembly must sacrifice time. The successful journey depends on it. OFFICE MANAGEMENT The success of this assembly is also heavily weighted upon the effectiveness of office administration. Joanne Thompson, our Church Administrator, has worked diligently over the past year to administer duties such as financial responsibly and bulletin preparation on a part-time basis. Without her contribution, the things many take for granted, would simply not exist. Stan Keefe, our Church Custodian, has also worked with passion, humility and quality to ensure the physical condition of our building continues to look it's greatest. It is always a pleasure to work with such a great team. CHURCH FINANCES Finances are another key component to a safe journey. I would like to say thank you for your giving in 2012, as it was a successful year. Without monetary resources, the journey must come to an end. The same is true for our spiritual journey within this assembly. God has saved us and blessed us with the ability to provide for our household and family. In return, we give of our money to offer others that same transforming freedom. I would also like to encourage you to continue to prayerfully and financially support our assembly as we endeavor to reach the lost in new ways. 2

HIGHLIGHTS I believe we are starting to see God's plan already at work. I'd like to point out some of the key highlights I have witnessed in 2012. Salvations Although there is much work to be done in the area of discipleship, we have witnessed one (1) new salvation, and one (1) recommitment. We should continue to expect such activity if we continue to love and serve our assembly and community. Sunday Night Services In a possible response to the need for discipleship, we are adopting and transforming our Sunday Night Services into a time of interaction, worship and Bible study. While this is a "work in progress", I believe we are on the right track to bringing purpose back into the Sunday Night gathering. As a result, we are seeing attendance average around 30. I am also excited for this coming summer as we will strategically plan outreach events in our surrounding community. Sunday Morning Worship and Preaching Series In the Sunday Morning Services we are challenged to fill the stage with musicians; however, our worship times have not suffered. I am proud to say, our congregation is open to the God using us in the Spiritual gifts and it reflects in our times of worship together. Perhaps, our lack of energy towards the music is driving us to focus on the one being worshiped - our heavenly Father. Over the past number of months we have worked our way through a couple of preaching series. We examined Scripture in the "Bible ABCs" series and walked through advent in the "Christmas Cards" series. Both seemed to have lasting impact and I am encouraged to know even the children of the assembly took part in handing out Christmas cards to bus drivers, mail carriers, and garbage collectors. We could all learn a thing or two from children. Promise Keepers and Men's Ministry If there's one group who often passes on learning, it's the men. This past October sparked a special interest in a few of our men as we spent a couple days in St. John's attending a Promise Keepers event. Three men of our assembly were challenged to start looking at life a little differently. God is calling men, not just to live, but to be ALIVE. When men are on fire for God, the journey will be natural 3

for those around him. This has launched us into some men ministry where we will be launching a form of gathering in the near future. Social Media and Online Presence Given that a number of men and others are away working, our presence online is very valuable. This is also true as we embrace a technological world that offers something for everyone online. As a result, our assembly has launched a new website (www.bethelbr.com) and is active on both Facebook (www.facebook.com/bethelbr) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/bethelbr). These sites allow us to send out updates, stay connected with the community, and provide resources to those unable to attend our services as sermon summaries and PowerPoint presentations are available for download. Continue to spread the word and interact with us online. APPRECIATION Lastly, I'd like to take the time to thank those who make my responsibility a whole lot easier. To Deidre, my wife, and of course Batman, our dog, thank you for giving me space and understanding when necessary, and help whenever possible. This is a new journey for both of us and your outstanding support is beyond recognition. To Vera and Church Board, thank you for being committed to the leadership role God has called you to, for sharing your wisdom, and for listening to God's voice in calling Pastor Deidre and I to be your pastor. To both Joanne and Stan, our church staff, thank you for putting your all into our assembly. Your work does not go unnoticed and your humble attitude is greatly appreciated. To all the volunteers of this assembly, thank you for serving. You have the power of first impressions, and you are the Church. Hold your responsibility well, and your servant-hood will become God's avenue for ministry. To my heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the ability to serve in this capacity. I do not take it lightly and would not be here was it not for your guidance in my life. 4

FINAL REMARKS It is with great pleasure and humility, that I lead this assembly. I believe the journey that God has laid out for Bethel Pentecostal Church will transform lives. I see a church with great potential, a church that loves God, worshiping with their lives of service. A church longing to love others and serving with what God has gifted them with. I see a church desiring to grow spiritually, numerically, and financially so that more and more can come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. Do you want to be a part of that church? Do you want to be on that journey? "Who will you serve?" 2 Let the journey begin. For His Kingdom, Andrew Holm Lead Pastor 2 Joshua 24:15 5
