Page Two St. André Bessette Parish, Malone, New York Welcome to St. André s Parish! No matter who you are, where you ve come from, or what brings you here, we re so glad to have you with us. St. André Bessette (1845-1937) spent much of his life serving as the doorkeeper of his religious community; like him, we strive to open doors for our neighbors to experience the loving mercy of God. May Jesus fill your heart with his grace and peace! From Fr. Joe. As I do every November, I am pleased to now share with you the annual reports for St. André s Parish, outlining facts and figures related to the spiritual life and financial stewardship of our parish for the year July 1, 2016-June 30, 2017. I hope you ll spend some time reviewing this information. I think that most of the data is pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions about what you see, please do not hesitate to contact me or another member of the parish staff and we ll be happy to get you some answers. I m still away on retreat, and will be returning on Thursday. I m sure you ll take good care of Fr. Scott for me while I m gone. Visit Fr. Joe's blog: http://fromemptyhands.blogspot.com/ Prayer to St. Michael As some may recall, this prayer, written by Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903), was prayed after Mass for many years. We would do well to ask once again for the protection of the leader of heaven s armies in these turbulent and uncertain times. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
