TORAH TEACHING OCTOBER 13, 2018 SHABBAT SHALOM

GENESIS CHAPTER 6 V 1-2 Mankind was multiplying on the earth. The sons of God (fallen angels) who saw that the daughters of men were beautiful and they married them. V 3-7 Yahweh was grieved (distressed) that He made man on the earth. There were giants in the earth and they had sex with the daughters of men. The women had children. Mankind became very evil in the eyes of Yahweh. Yahweh said I will destroyed man whom I created and the animals too.

GENESIS CHAPTER 6 V 8-10 Noah found grace with Yahweh, he was a just and perfect man. Noah had three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth (which we will talk more about them later on) V 11-13 In the days of Noah the earth came corrupt before Yahweh, it was filled with violence. V 14-16 Yahweh command Noah to build a ark. The ark was 300 cubits long, 30 cubits height, and 50 cubits wide. What is a cubit? A cubit in Hebrew is 18 inches. Altogether the ark was 450 feet long, 45 feet height, and 900 feet wide.

GENESIS CHAPTER 6 V 17-22 Yahweh told Noah He would bring a flood of water upon the earth to destroy all flesh and animals that is not on the ark. Yahweh establish a covenant (agreement) with Noah, his sons, his wife and his sons wife s and animals that were in the ark. Then Noah began gathering food into the ark.

GENESIS CHAPTER 7 Yahweh told Noah to get everyone into the ark. Every type of animal on the earth two of its kind and his family into the ark. Yahweh cause it to rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. When everyone and everything was in the ark, Yahweh closes the door. All flesh and all creatures on the earth died. The waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.

GENESIS CHAPTER 8 V1-10 Then Yahweh made a wind to pass over the earth and the water were less intense. After the end of the 150 days the waters began were abated (to be diminished). The ark rested on the mountains of Ararat (a mountainous district between Asia Minor and the Caspian Sea). It rested on the seventh month on the seventeenth day of the month. Noah opened up a window in the ark and he sent a raven who flew around until the waters dried up. He also sent a dove who could find a dry area on the so it returned to the ark. Noah then waited seven days then he sent out the dove again, but this time the dove had a olive leaf so Noah knew the waters had diminished.

GENESIS CHAPTER 8 V11-22 Noah waited another seven days but this time the dove did not return meaning the waters had dried up. Then Yahweh spoke to Noah saying you, your family and every creature in the ark be fruitful and multiply in the earth it is time to leave the ark. The first thing Noah did when he left the ark he built an altar and offered burnt offerings and it was a sweet smell to Yahweh. Yahweh said in His heart He would not curse the ground for man s sake, non any living thing. All the days of the land remain, seedtime, harvest, cold, heat, summer, winter, day, and night will not cease.

GENESIS CHAPTER 9 Elohim blessed Noah and his sons and told them to be fruitful and multiply. V 2-6 Every animal, herb and moving thing mankind can eat, except for the blood. V 9-17 Elohim establishes his rainbow covenant with mankind promising he will not flood the earth again. V 18-28 Noah and his three sons; Ham, Shem, and Japheth they became fathers of nations. Noah one night got drunk and got naked in his tent. Ham saw his father naked and told his brothers. Shem and Japheth cover their father up with a garment. Noah woke up and knew Ham saw him naked, Noah cursed Ham. Ham was the father of Canaan the nation. Elohim blessed Japheth and will lived in the tens of Shem.

GENESIS CHAPTER 10 The genealogy of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth. After the flood, the nations and cities were divided in the earth by their families. I am not going to go through all the names of the genealogy, but I will pick only three of them to discuss Magog, Cush and Tubal. All of them will be a part of the Gog/Magog war in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Cush which is modern day Ethiopia. Magog is a city in western Turkey and Tubal is a city in eastern Turkey.

GENESIS CHAPTER 11 V 1-9 Talks about the tower of Babel. The word Babel, to the verb balal which means to confuse or confound. Nimrod who was a mighty hunter before Yahweh ordered the building of tower. The name Nimrod in the Hebrew means revolt. As they were building the tower they were of one language and Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower the sons of men built. Yahweh changed their language so they would not understand one another. Yahweh scattered them all over the earth, because the time for a one world language, government and religion has not yet come to pass. The tower of Babel was also a picture of the soon coming new world order and mankind s good works to build/earn their way to heaven.

IN SUMMARY Regardless of what the world is saying or doing be obedient to Yeshua. May every word, deed, thought and action be righteous to Yahweh. Be sensitive to what Elohim is telling you and always listen for His voice. Serve Yahweh with all of your soul, spirit, mind, body and heart. Beware of the accuser of the brethren try to deceive, divide, distraction and disrupt God s timing and direction in your life. Thank you for your time and Shabbat Shalom.
