ANNOUNCEMENTS Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to Kay Everson on the recent passing of her husband, Paul. Food drive - The COTS Youth are partnering with Nehemiah Mission to collect food and supplies to provide 20 families with a Thanksgiving meal and food to stock their pantries. Please stop in the parlor after worship services today to select items for purchase. We are also collecting non-perishable donations in bins around the church through November 20. Thanksgiving hosts are needed for two or more international college students. Thanksgiving is a truly unique American tradition that embodies many of our Christian values - being thankful and welcoming the alien and stranger (in essence, welcoming Jesus Himself). For more details, contact Bok Chew (InterVarsity Christian Fellowship) at bokchew@yahoo.com by November 14. Leaf Raking! If you are physically and financially unable to handle the fall clean up in your yard, or if you know of someone in need of assistance, the COTS Youth want to help! We will be raking leaves the afternoon of Saturday, November 19. We invite others to join in this effort, too. Please contact the church office to sign up for yard help or to volunteer. Church Women United We are collecting personal care items for North Coast Behavioral Care Center including full-size toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, lotion, soaps, playing cards, tissues, socks, small writing pads, and combs. Please no mouthwash or sharp objects. Most of the clients are men. The deadline for donations is November 14. Reading and Games with Kids at Children s Choice. Our next evening to read and play games with the kids at Children's Choice Learning Center in East Cleveland is coming up on Monday, November 14, 7:00-8:00 pm. If you would like to participate, contact Renee at 216-321-8880 or rleonard@chsaviour.org. The Health Ministry Team reminds everyone that there is still time to get a Flu Shot before the Flu season really gets started. Everyone 6 months or older should get an annual Flu Shot. They are available at most drug stores without a prescription or your health care provider s office. Those with Medicare Part B can get the injection and Medicare will cover it. Also, stop by the Health Ministry office and see the proper ways of disposing of your out-dated medications. Church members will again be purchasing gifts for children in need through the Angel Tree Project. Stop in the parlor on Sunday, November 20 or November 27 to select a child s name. Gifts should be returned to the church by Sunday, December 4. Other Worship Experiences Tonight: Catalyst at 6:30 p.m. in the Great Hall.
