Prayer Line: Jo Kusz 651-771-7438 From the Director of Finance and Operations The readings for this weekend offer us great joy, a great challenge, and Christ s assurance that he will always be supporting us. In the first reading, the discovery of our Lord Jesus Christ and experiencing God s power through Philip must have been exhilarating to the people of Samaria. I believe most people open to the Holy Spirit have experienced moments of undeniable help and comfort from a power beyond ourselves and our friends. The second reading challenges us to sanctify Christ in our hearts and openly live the teachings of Christ. We cannot be deterred when the world maligns us for our belief but must stand our ground with determination and reverence. Finally, in the gospel, Christ assures us that he will advocate on our behalf and will send us the Holy Spirit so that we are never alone in our quest to bring God s teaching to the world around us. Festival is a great weekend to have these readings! Let s gather to renew and celebrate our belief in Jesus Christ and a God who always loves us. Empowered by our community support, let s go forth into the world boldly living and proclaiming our faith. Finally, let s always remember that the Holy Spirit will come to our aid when we pray for help and guidance in Jesus name. - Bob Collett Walk To Cathedral Join us for the 9 th Annual Walk to the Cathedral Sunday, June 4 th Join us on a pilgrimage of faith as we walk 6 miles from Presentation of Mary Church to the Cathedral of St. Paul.
