Past Chapter Presidents Robert H. Bohannan 2002-2004 2007-2008 H. Robert Young 2005-2006 Carlton V. Phillips 2009 Distracted drivers As you all know, there is a movement afoot both nationally and locally, to ban driving while distracted. We have all come across some idiot on a cell phone and here is a classic example of why this should be unlawful and enforced! Driving in on the Loop 202 this morning, I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a brand new Mustang doing 65 miles per hour with her face up next to the rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner! I looked away for a couple of seconds and when I looked back she was half way over in my lane, still working on that dang make up!! It scared me so bad that I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the donut out of my other hand. In all the confusion I was trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, and dropped my cell phone away from my ear, which fell into the coffee between my legs and DISCONNECTED AN IMPORTANT CALL!!!
