elcome! The warmest of welcomes to you this morning. We hope that the worship today will bring you closer to God. We believe that Jesus came to redeem mankind and that through his sacrifice, those who believe in him may have life in all its fullness (John 10:10). We pray that this may be your experience. If you are visiting or worshipping with us for the first time, we hope you will be able to stay for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee after the Service. A crèche for children under school age is held each Sunday. ask one of the stewards for more information. Please THIS MORNING the Shoe Box gifts for needy children around the world will be dedicated. NEXT SUNDAY is Remembrance Sunday. As in previous years, we will be observing the two minutes silence at 11.00am, and will then continue with the service at about 11.15am when the Civic Party join us after the conclusion of their ceremony at the War Memorial. Please arrive in good time for the two minutes silence. RETIRING COLLECTIONS during November and December will be for the Royal British Legion. The Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community - serving men and women, veterans, and their families. The Legion was founded by veterans after the First World War. A century on from the start of that conflict, they are still helping today's Service men and women, veterans, and their families in almost every aspect of daily life. They also champion Remembrance, safeguarding the memory of those who have given their lives for our freedom through Remembrance education and events. VISIT OF ST. DENNIS BAND. Gwyneth and Nick are pleased to sponsor the visit of St Dennis Band to the church on Sunday 18th November. We feel that this is a way we can support both the Church and the Band and we hope you will support this event. If you are unable to attend, perhaps you might like to make a small donation to replenish the church funds after the alterations. Donations of food and help to supply tea to the band and light refreshments to the audience would be appreciated. If you can supply a plate of savoury or sweet food please let Gwyneth or Mary (Rogers) know and if you can help to serve the food etc this would also be appreciated. Page 2

REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR. Please join us in this really simple way to help those less fortunate than us to enjoy Christmas. The idea is to have a box into which, each day, or each time you re shopping, you put a small item of festive fair. Then you bring the box to Church to be donated to the Food Bank. For practical reasons, we suggest that this is best done through November, and the box brought to Church at the beginning of December. Here are some suggestions for donations: Tinned tomatoes; Tinned potatoes/dried mash; Tinned vegetables; Dry Spaghetti/Pasta; Pasta sauce; Soup; Tea/coffee/hot chocolate; Tinned spaghetti; Tinned meat meals (curries, stews, mince, hot dogs); Tins of Ham/corned beef; Jam/spreads; Squash; Biscuits; Long-life milk; Nuts and Christmas nibbles; Toiletries; Washing up liquid; Soap. And festive items such as Christmas crackers.
