Following the Children's Message all children and youth will go to their classrooms each week. Last year the youth (6th grade and up) decided they would like to have more time in class together. Therefore, starting on 9/30, youth in grades 6th up will gather in the Family Room BEFORE church begins. To continue our effort of increasing the safety during CS, there is a schedule of authorized hall monitors. Back by popular demand - First Sunday Village, October 7 th (all ages gather together) with Marsha Lawrence exploring a variety of topics which will coincide with our goal of providing vital resources through Heifer International. All children and youth are invited to participate in Holy Communion as a group on the first Sunday. If any family prefers that their child(ren) not participate in Communion with the group, please let their teacher(s) know, and arrangements will be made to accommodate your request. At the conclusion of the 10:00 service, teachers and children will appreciate prompt pickup/sign-out in the classroom. If your child is new to PUMC, please plan to take a few minutes to fill out a registration form which provides important information for the teachers. Keep an eye out for more information about the activity schedule throughout the year in flyers, the "Circuit Rider" and in bulletin announcement inserts. Contact: Crystal Mang, Children's and Youth Ministries Coordinator, 518-578-0702. YOUTH GROUP - is for 5th Grade & Up. This year, our first event will be on October 7th. Typical YG gatherings include lunch (families are invited to sign-up to provide lunch on a rotating basis), crafts, games, preparing "Church Care Critters" for their journeys. Speaking of Church Care Critters, the critters in the pews are in need of some new companions. Donations of gently used or new stuffed critters are appreciated! Please leave them in the Church office. We will continue our tradition of singing Christmas carols with Vilas Home residents, visiting Temple Beth Israel for Shabbat, and a winter fun day!
