Past Reflections Christian Church Dear Lake Erie Church Family, Happy New Year! As we embark upon the beginning of another new year, we extend to each of you a message of bottomless gratitude for your phenomenal dedication and remarkable accomplishments over the past year. We are so very blessed and happy to be surrounded by gifted individuals like all of you who demonstrate an unwavering, resilient commitment to excellence. The past year has presented unique challenges. Yet in every challenge, lies magnificent opportunity to re-evaluate, to grow, and to become stronger. With your assistance, the Lake Erie Church has accomplished tremendous milestones together. The simple fact that our church is now debt free speaks for itself of what we as a committed congregation can accomplish when we work together. The transitioning of pastors, presented challenges in itself; heartbreak, disappointment and feelings of desertion. But through it all, God proved himself time and time again faithful and out of the ashes we rise. Today we are a strong congregation that has learned that God makes no mistakes. We love and feel very blessed that God sent just the right leadership to Lake Erie Church, that will move us into a new direction and a brighter future. We as a congregation are profoundly appreciative and deeply inspired as we bid farewell to 2017 and welcome in 2018; we are blinded by a glowing and remarkable sense of optimism for what the future holds, the exciting ventures that await, the thrilling new endeavors that loom, but most of all the wonderful opportunities to worship and fellowship with you all. Now may we all be endowed with wonderful blessings from above. Peace be with you, LEC Newsletter Staff Debera Barclay-Douglas Stella Llamas Jennifer Rankins Rhonda Thompson

Thirst Ministry 2 ND ANNUAL THIRST MINISTRY FRIENDSHIP GIVING EVENT 2017 WITH DUSTIN VORSE
NATIVITY SCENE LUKE 2: 7-14 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Join us for our annual 21 Day Daniel Fast Starting January 8 th and ending January 28 th A sign-up packet is available in the foyer or see Marvin and Andrea Hill for more information. As you prepare for the next 21 days of fasting, think about why you are fasting. Is it for spiritual renewal, for guidance, for healing, to resolve problems or issues, for special grace to handle a difficult situation, or for a major decision. Ask the Holy Spirit to clarify His leading and objectives for your fast. This will help you to pray more specifically. We also encourage you to read the Daily Devotions prepared for you in the packet, and join us at church for fasting videos and corporate prayer over the prayer request forms submitted. Prayerfully seek the Lord and be led by the Spirit. All of these things will help strengthen you through your fasting journey for the next 21 days. We are excited to move forward with you into 2018. K s Korner What should we expect in 2018? Sometimes we have expectations that do not meet the expectations that the Lord God has for us. What should we expect? After we submit our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, unto God which is our reasonable service, We should expect the love of God to lead us into his righteousness, We should expect a way of escape, We should expect the Lord God Almighy to hide you in his secrect place, We should expect the fulfillment of the Lord God s wil being done in our lives. We should expect healing, deliverance, joy, peace, love, Grace and Truth. We should expect Truth to prevail. Let s make sure that our expectations are lining up to what the Lord God has in His word for you.
