Power Source SUNDAY WORSHIP P RAYE R GRO UP
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Power Source SUNDAY WORSHIP P RAYE R GRO UP Prayer is our MBC Core Value #3. PRAYING FOR ALL THINGS - OUR POWER IS IN PRAYER. "It is written;" he said to them, "My house will be called a house of prayer..." Matthew 21:13 We believe prayer unlocks God s power and lives are changed. During each of the Sunday morning services, intercessors meet in the Prayer Room and pray for God to work in the lives of people. The name of this gathering is Power Source. We thank you for joining this important ministry. This booklet will assist you as you seek God for revival and spiritual awakening in the hearts of people.
Dear Intercessor, Thank you for "standing in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30) for the one who brings the Word and for the people in worship at Morningside today. Your intercession makes a difference in the lives of people trying to decide the measure of their faith: receive or reject, believe or disbelieve, respond or remain the same as before. Pray hard. Avoid distraction. Place yourself whole-heartedly before the Almighty and "beseech the Lord of the Harvest" (Mat 9:38) to accomplish His work today in the hearts of people listening to the message. Yours, T. Thad Smith Senior Pastor
Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on Earth about anything that they may ask, and it shall be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst. Matthew 18:19-20 It is a privilege to be involved with God as He expands His kingdom. As you agree with others in prayer during the worship hour, you will see God moving in the lives of those who are attending worship. First Session: 8:30 AM Second Session: 10:30 AM The following is the general order of events during the Power Source times: Go to the Prayer Room. Please sign in on the log in sheet. Introduce and welcome each other. There is no assigned leader. Use the bulletin as a guide as you follow along with the worship service. You may also pray for those in Bible Fellowship Classes, their teachers, and other ministries that occur throughout the Sunday morning worship times. Follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit as you pray. Please continue to pray through the completion of the invitation and the close of the service. Thank you for your participation in this ministry. Please do not hesitate to invite others to join you in this endeavor.

Prayer during the worship service plows the soil of hearts to receive the precious seed of the gospel. Pray in agreement, particularly during the invitation, focused in the following areas: Pray for Yourself Present yourself to God by the blood and the name of Jesus, a clean vessel of intercession for the Master s use during this time. (Psalm 24:3-4, Psalm 66:18, Peter 1:15-16, John 1:9) Pray to God the Father in the name of the Savior. Lift up the name and blood of Jesus, who draws all people to Himself (Luke 19:10, John 12:32) Ask God to send His spirit to prepare and convict sinners, knock at the door of their heart, draw them to Jesus and lead them to repentance and truth. (John 6:44, John 16:8-13) Pray that God the Father will be glorified in bringing many into the family through salvation. (John 1:12, 11Peter 3:9) Pray against the devises of Satan Use your spiritual weapons (11 Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians 6:10-17)
Claim the victory Jesus has already won over the enemy (Hebrews 2:14-15, John 3:8) Satan is defeated, but he continues to blind spiritual eyes and hold sinners in bondage. In the name of Jesus, claim the release of captives from Satan s blinding and binding. Pray that they will embrace the liberty of gospel truth. (Luke 4:18) Tear down Satan s strongholds of pride, rebellion, hardness of heart, indifference, deception, self satisfaction, procrastination, fear and etc. (Matthew 12:29) Pray for sinners who don t know Jesus. Pray that they will acknowledge their condition of being blinded and bound by Satan, but admit that Jesus is greater (11 Corinthians 4:4, 11 Timothy 2:26, 1 John 1:4) Pray that they will seek Him (Deuteronomy 4:29, Acts 17:27) Pray that they will believe the Scriptures (Romans 10:17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13) Pray that they will repent and receive Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 3:19, 17:30-31, Romans 8:15, John 5:24) Pray that today will be the day of salvation for many. (Romans 10:1, 11 Corinthians 6:2, 1 Timothy 2:3-6) Pray that they will confess Christ as Lord and yield to Christ as Lord of every area of their lives. (11Corinthians 5:15, Philippians 3:7-8, Colossians 2:6-7)
Pray for the Saints. Pray for the conviction and revival in the hearts of the saved, that they will respond to the preached Word of God with obedience and commitment. (Psalm 85:4-6, Isaiah 57:15, Habakkuk 3:2) Pray that the Word sown in their lives will result in righteousness as God desires. (11Thessalonians 1:5-7, James1:22-25) Pray for counselors as they deal with the inquirers. (Matthew 9:37-38) Pray that they will correctly discern the inquirers spiritual condition and will minister truth specifically to meet the needs. (John 3:34) Praise moves the hand of God and defeats the enemy. (11Chronicles 20) Praise God that He is able!
And he said to all, If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. Luke 9:23-24 Lord, You have given us what seems like an impossible task with this passage. You have asked us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow You. Even when our spirits are willing, the flesh is weak. You know our hearts, Father. Help us, with Your Holy Spirit, to examine our hearts and hear from You. The longer we walk with You, the more we look like You. We desire to become more and more like You, less selfish and more selfless, willing to deny ourselves in any and all situations. You have told us that when we lose our life for Your sake, we will save it. Save us from ourselves, God. As we lift up these words for our churches, let us come before God with humility and a willingness to obey. Let us put others first and serve our brothers and sisters in Christ. May we seek God first, putting aside our own desires. May we become intercessors for our brothers and sisters in Christ. May we pray more and criticize less. May we be encouragers and uplifters.
