TIPPING POINT SUBJECTS FOR PRAYER. 01 OCTOBER 2018) Introduction. Thank you for your ongoing prayers. Herewith our prayer points for period from 01/10/2018. We will be updating the prayer points +/- 2 weekly, as the Lord guides us. Our prayer points for this coming fortnight remain essentially unchanged, we continue to petition the Lord daily, for the subjects outlined. The danger is that we become tired, or bored, praying the same prayers day by day, apparently with no answer. When this temptation arises, remember the Lord loves to hear His children talking with Him, and petitioning Him, and has promised to answer in His good time. Our Lord never sees our prayers and petitions as repetitive or an irritation, on the contrary, we have parables and texts in the Word encouraging us to do this very thing petition God repeatedly, until He gives the outcome (Is 62:5-7, Luke 18 1-8) The prayer points are arranged day by day so that you can pray for a different subject each day. We do, however feel strongly that the "Its time" prayer meeting scheduled for 27 October deserves daily prayer, and request you to over and above our once weekly requests, to intercede every day, up to 27 October for the "Its time" meeting. Daily prayer and intersession It's time 27 October 2018. A second nationwide prayer meeting has been scheduled for Pretoria on 27 October 2018. Many of us were privileged to attend the first meeting in Bloemfontein on 22 April last year. We remember how blessed and special the occasion was. Sceptics may point out that not much has changed in the country since 22 April, on the contrary, if anything things might have worsened. Remember one thing we are fighting an invisible enemy, in an invisible war (Eph. 6) the fact that nothing apparent is happening on the surface, does not in the least mean that nothing is happening in the background, in the realm of the spirit. Every prayer prayed for our country bring us one step closer to removing and defeating the spiritual enemy at present running our country. Every prayer brings us one step closer to transferring our country from the hand of Satan, into the kingdom of God's glorious light. Therefore it matters little what is happening "on the surface". It matters much what is happening in the background, in the spirit. "Its time" 2018 is going to be a major step towards victory over the spiritual enemies currently running our country. Once, and only once, the victory in the heavenly's is sealed (See Daniel 10: 12-13) we will see the victory visibly, in the open, for all to know and see, even the sceptics... What a glorious day that is going to be! Please, and please again, make every effort to attend the "It's time" prayer meeting. Your prayer (yes, even yours) is a precious instrument in Gods hand to turn the tide in South Africa. Please pray for: Angus Buchan: o Protection for him and his family from the evil one. o The right message, straight from the throne of God. o Wisdom and obedience to deliver Gods message to us. All logistical and administrative tasks required to make the meeting a success. o Pray for all involved in organising the meeting o Pray for Gods blessing on every person involved Pray that God will prepare the hearts and minds of those attending o o That each would have a humble and receptive spirit. That God would awaken those unsure if they should attend, with a holy urgency to become part of this meeting.

Mondays land reform and redistribution. The whole issue of land reclaiming/redistribution, is literally on a knifepoint. Should matters go wrong, the consequences would be most serious with almost certain violence and loss of life. However, should the Lord intervene and resolve the matter peacefully, to advantage of all parties, it may well become the catalyst for revival in other sectors in our country. We are seeing wonderful developments in answer to our prayers reconciliation between agricultural organizations, and also a preparedness by the ANC to re-think its land reform policies. Believers, God is waiting to answer us (Ps 50:15) Lets petition him daily, as never before, trusting that He will do exactly as He has promised heal our land. Pray daily for every farmer / landowner: o For peace, prosperity and a conciliatory attitude towards others o Pray earnestly that difficult and dangerous times will draw our farmers and all involved closer to God, nor further away from Him in bitterness. Pray that farmers and their workers would be saved and born again, on a scale never seen before. o Pray for reconciliation between farmers and their workers where such tensions exist. Pray for the government, for all involved for wisdom to make courageous, correct and righteous decisions. Pray especially for President Ramaphosa for wisdom to effectively lead us out of this crisis. Pray for all who feel they have a right to land for fair treatment and wisdom by all parties. Pray also that delays and frustrations will drive them closer to God, not further away into rebellion and violence. Pray against the forces of evil wanting to use the land issue to incite hatred, Tuesdays: Court case - same sex marriages (21 Aug) Gaum vs NG church. We continue to pray for a favourable outcome. However, it is important to note that the court case came about, chiefly because the NG church compromised clear scriptural principles in the past. We ask the Lord to forgive us in the Dutch reformed church for compromising the truth of Gods word, which "opened a door" for the current crisis. We ask that, over and above forgiveness, God also would free, protect and cleanse His church from any long term consequences of this sin. (1 John 1:9) (Details about this court case, and other potentially damaging legislation may be found on the forsa.org.za website) Please visit this side to get an idea of what we are praying for, and against. We ask God to forgive NG church leadership mistakes and compromise made in the past, as regards same sex relationships. We pray that God would cleanse and free His church from any long term consequences of this transgression. We pray that God's will be done in the case, and that there will be no compromise regarding the Word of the Lord. Pray that the Lord will guide the judges as they deliberate the case. Hate speech - pray against every piece of legislation that is being planned to hinder our preachers and that will undermine the authority of God's Word.

Wednesdays: Our police force, army and corrective services. We feel very strongly that we should intercede for every policeman, and policewoman, as they go about a thankless, difficult and at times extremely dangerous job. Is it not sad that there is so little empathy and support for those who daily risk their lives to keep us safe? Certainly there is criticism, almost never praise or gratitude. May the Lord forgive us this as we intercede for everyone involved in security and keeping us as citizens safe in what has become an increasingly dangerous country. Firstly we intercede for all involved in security, and keeping us safe. Specifically we pray for every policeman and policewoman: o That God would keep them safe and protect them and their families as they risk their lives daily for us. o Pray that the danger would not make them bitter or cynical, but rather drive them to God in prayer and repentance. o Pray that the daily danger and the reality of death would cause them to question their own eternal destiny, and that the Spirit would lead them to Calvary, where Christ paid the price to save us all. We pray for all in leadership positions police, army and corrective services. Ask the Lord to expose and root out all corruption and theft of funds, and to replace corrupt officials with honest and God fearing persons. Pray for a revival in our police, army, corrective servies Jesus in the heart of every man and woman. Thursdays: Schools, Universities, Colleges. "The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10.) Exam time is coming. Let's pray for every student and scholar in our country. We pray not only for their results, we also intercede for them that God would give them a future in our beautiful country. How many students and scholars feel hopeless and helpless, knowing that their qualification doesn't guarantee them a job, or a future in this country, given the economic situation. Dear brother and sister in Christ let's intercede for the young people in our country, as if each one were our own - that God grant them hope, and a future here! Ask the Lord to forgive our school and education system for rejecting Him and removing Him from our classrooms in some cases. Pray for repentance and Godly leadership in the education department. Pray for each student / scholar for: o Responsive hearts open to the Word of God and the Gospel. Pray for Jesus in the heart of every scholar and student un our country o Protection against wrong influences and bullying o Protection against impurity, wrong relationships, rape and pornography. o Protection against the attraction and power of drugs and alcohol. Pray for our country that God would have mercy on us, that every young person would know there is a future for them here. Pray against a spirit of depression and despondency in those leaving school, college and university and feeling there's no hope for any kind of future here.

Fridays - Election 2019, government and economy Do you still remember the 1994 elections God intervened for His children in wonderful and miraculous ways. So much so that the secular media recognised and reported it as such. For example the BBC documentary covering our democratic process was titled: South Africa, a miracle rising Yes, God intervened miraculously in 1994, and will do so again! There is only one prerequisite 2 Chron 7:14 If my people, called by my name (Christians) will pray. let s intercede as never before for the 2019 elections. In addition we continue to intercede for our government, and our economy. Who knows how much opportunity and job creation is squandered by corruption, bribery and corrupt officials. Since the US election 18 months ago Pres Trump has added 4 million new jobs to the US economy. That means 4 million families no longer living on the bread line! Wouldn't it be wonderful if the coming election could achieve something similar for South Africa? Let's pray, in faith, for exactly such a miracle. Election: Ask the Lord to bring the right candidates to the forefront. Pray especially for Christian parties and Christians who hold political positions. We continue to pray for our brother in Christ Errol Naidoo. We ask that the Lord give him wisdom and lead him very clearly where exactly and what political party to become involved. Pray as well for his protection and his family. Election: We ask the Lord for a spirit of prayer over our country in preparation for the 2019 elections - on a scale never seen before with any previous election. Remember to thank the Lord for the answers to prayers during the 1994 elections and we plead with Him to be merciful to us again. Election: We pray for a favourable outcome in the 2019 election. A government that respects and honours God in every decision, a parliament opened every day with scripture and prayer! Corruption: We pray against this spirit of corruption and bribery, which is damaging our economy to such an extent. Ask the Lord to expose and turn this around, so that the economy can flourish and jobs be created. Economy and jobs: Pray for the workless, as if it was you yourself waiting day by day for any kind of work, just to put some bread on the table. Ask God to bless our economy to the extent that many jobs will be created. Saturdays Churches around the country. Dr M Lloyd Jones (British preacher) once said The church is not a protest organization. The church has a message of hope (the only message of hope) for a desperate and dying world. The church s task is not to protest, our task is to proclaim the glorious truth of salvation and hope in Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Pray for churches across our country: o That pastors would proclaim the message of salvation fearlessly and without compromise. o For pastors with a deep love for the Word and for prayer. o For new conversions, in accordance with the great commission of Mathew 28. o For spiritual growth in existing church members Universities, bible schools and colleges. o For Spirit-filled professors and mentors to train our young preachers. o That liberal theologians will be exposed and removed from teaching. o That any other un-biblical teaching will be uncovered and removed.

Sunday - Families and children As the family goes, so goes the nation. The family has always been the building block of Christian nations. Children flourish and grow in God fearing and God honouring families. Pray for restoration of marriages nationwide. o That marriages on the verge of divorce will be renewed and saved. (Perhaps you know someone who is experiencing marital difficulty - please pray for them by name and for their children. Pray for the family s salvation) o That men will rise to take on their responsibility as fathers and spiritual leaders of the family. o That mothers will not be so professionally focused that families and especially children suffer neglect. Pray for broken households o That single parents will increasingly experience Jesus' love and that they will not become despondent/discouraged. Pray for single parents for strength and wisdom to raise their children to love and fear God. o We pray for children of single houses, that the Lord himself will take the place of an absent father or mother in their lives, and use this difficult situation for good (Romans 8:28) Pray for orphans o There are hundreds of thousands of children that are orphaned due to HIV and other causes. o Pray for God to intervene and to be gracious to the children. Pray that the church will rise up and increasingly play its part in the care of orphans. (In line with the biblical command in James 1:27) We would like to thank everyone who is participating for your prayers- we know it will not be in vain! Blessings, MPC prayer team.
