See you there! APPLETON ~ SUMMER CONCERT SERIES ~ RED BULL Band 34 th Division, Tuesday, July 31 st, 7:00 pm at Appleton Riverview Park. The Red Bull Band is a Minnesota Army National Guard Band from Rosemount. A COMMUNITY POTLUCK PICNIC will be held before the concert. Community members are asked to please bring hotdishes, salads and desserts by 5:00 pm to the shelter in the park. The Potluck Picnic will begin with serving the band members at 5:30 pm followed by serving the public after the band. The Summer Concert Series is supported by the Appleton Community Foundation, The Martinson Foundation, and business partners. Please remember to bring your lawn chair. St. Francis Family Groups We will be having our first meeting on Tuesday, August 7 at 7:00 in the Gathering Space. We will be discussing fall fundraiser, meeting times, and ideas for the next year. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for this position. PACK A BOX OF JOY for needy children. This might be their only Christmas gift, while some have never received a gift. Last year St. Isidore the Farmer AFC was very generous and this project was so successful, sending 122 boxes. You are invited to participate in the Box of Joy Christmas project to share the joy of Christmas with needy children in Haiti and Central America. Plan ahead to fill your box(es) with school supplies, small toys, bar soap, hygiene items (no liquids), etc. A complete list will be published in September. We can hire tutors to work in our building to provide extra reading practice for students next year. Tutors will work with students in Kindergarten through third grade.
